We tend to shout at our partners, and give them ultimatums.
So we just sit back and let "an ally" jeopardize the capabilities of a plane that we spent over a $1 trillion developing?

Is that how they got you? I would have bet that they put whip cream on Putin's cock before you starting sucking. However, good for you and choosing to be healthy and go with carrots instead.

Getting kicked out of the F-35 is working better? Maybe for Russia which apparently all you putin penis suckers care about, but not for Turkey. Turkey loses out on the chance to buy the most advanced fighter on the export market and probably any chance to uprgrade its existing F-16 fleet. Sure they could buy the Su-57, but it is terrible substitute. In fact, it is so bad that India who was working to develop the plane backed out on it and even Russia had to admit that it was cancelling mass production of the aircraft last year.

What’s the color of the boat house at Hereford.

We got very used to the unipolar days of the 90s, the thing is, we can’t issue ultimatums anymore and expect people to roll over.

Wow
Russian carrots all over Georgia and Ukraine!
Poison carrot gas in Syria.
Without opposition, carrots win every Time!
Dude, do me a favor and never bring carrots to my family!

It is not because they bought a cheaper missile system or even because they bought a russian missile system. It is because they bought a russian missile system and the deal includes letting russian subcontractors (aka the Russian government since they bought it from a state owned company) have access to data. That sorta defeats the purpose of developing a stealth plane and all the eletctro shite that goes with it to defeat advanced missile systems.

Conservatives go from NATO bashing to anger at Turkey's defiance of this sacred Alliance.
Is your mental illness (aka liberalism) not allowing you to acknowledge that the US and NATO expressed similar concerns when Turkey tried to buy a Chinese missile system and the Obama administration cutting military aid to Turkey over the deal, the USA and NATO raised similar concerns and made similar threats when Turkey began considering the idea back during the last days of the Obama administration in late 2016, and that the deal is in violations of sanctions against Russia that were implemented by Obama? So this is not a conservative created issue, but you are too blinded by party politics to understand that.
The US also has threatened to unilaterally sanction non NATO India & China for buying the Russian made s400( Greece does have the Russian s300 missiles with little objection).
Conservatives here & this administration have always wanted the NATO countries to " pull
their own weight". Seems they are more interested in drumming up business for their more expensive MIC / weapons and wielding influence. This administration has been threatening / criticizing NATO since day one.
Maybe Turkey is bluffing about the s400 or tired of the US influence in their National Security( They have some conflicting interests). And constant US threats & ultimatums.
Conservatives here should be thrilled at this developing crack in NATO. Maybe US doesn't have to defend those "deadbeats" any longer.

I would say this more about China with it's Belt & Road & infrastructure projects throughout the world.
Except when it comes to Taiwan, especially.. They are extremely sensitive & unwavering about that issue. And those S China Sea Islands.

The S-300 does not have the ability to track and gather information on the F-35. Selling an F-35 to a country that buys the S-400 or its Chinese equivalent is basically like voluntarily putting your social security number onto the black web.

Once again you are showing your ignorance on the issue. Conservatives have been calling on the US's allies to spend more and do more to increase the security of NATO. The S-400 not only f**ks up the F-35 for the US but multiple NATO air forces and it is not able to integrate into the overall NATO air defense strategy which NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg is also against it.

If they want to buy out shite than they have to play by our rules. If they want to be a part of our alliance then they have to play by the alliances rules. Ever since Obama's failed coup in the summer of 2016 Erdogan has stated that he wants to stop Turkey's attempt of joining the EU and he has threatened to leave NATO several times.

Most of us are. The Russian Black Sea Fleet is not the threat that it once was and technology and the fall of the iron curtain has reduced the geographical importance of Turkey. Turkey has not been a team player since Erdogan rose to power in the early 2000 so them leaving the alliance will not be a big deal.

Then pop some Champagne weewee & stop worrying about " deadbeats" like Turkey stepping up to defend themselves without being dependent on the US.
Even the most Patriotic Americans think the F-35 has issues & that the s400 is a less expensive / more versatile system than the Patriot missile.. Doesn't sound like Ankara is dying to buy from the US MIC anymore but instead want to pursue a better missile system ( for their needs).
The US is also bullying India & China who are buying the s400 and there aren't any NATO/ integration issues.

What would some huckster from Opelousas know about the F-35

The F-35 does have issues but we spent over a trillion dollars developing the damn thing and I am not popping any champagne because it is 09:18 in the morning and I try not to drink before noon on Sundays unless it is a Saints game.

The US is not bullying them. The US is enforcing the penalties for violating the sanctions that Congress, Pres Obama, Pres Trump, the EU and several other nations put on Russia for the whole Ukrainian civil war and Crimea thing.

Please stop with this, you damn well know that has always meant financially. If they want to remove themselves from the US teet and develop their own or buy someone else’s shite that’s never been an issue.
You also know damn well that someone like Russia would give huge rebates to someone like turkey if they could test the Russian missile system on US planes.
