He’s better where he is as the governor of Florida, so no.

12th Amendment prohibits POTUS and VPOTUS candidates from being from the same state.
Not exactly true, tho it could get dicey if Trump ultimately decides to go in that direction:
LINK ]Can Trump pick a vice president from Florida? (Tampa Bay Times)
quote:
The 12th Amendment to the Constitution, which created the modern process by which the Electoral College picks the president, reads, “The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves.”
That means Florida’s 30 Electoral College members can’t vote for both a president and vice president who are Floridians.
Trump currently resides in Florida, just like Sen. Marco Rubio and U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds — whose names have been floated at some point as potential VP picks. (Other potential picks that Trump is reportedly considering: North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, U.S. Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina and Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York, among others.)
This doesn’t mean Trump is precluded from picking a Florida running mate. But in the event of a close Trump victory, it would make things uncomfortable for the American political system.
If Trump were to win the 270 electoral votes to claim the presidency, but his running mate could not claim enough such votes, the U.S. Senate would be forced to decide the next vice president. If the vote is still tied there, all sorts of craziness could ensue.

I was told RDS is a GOPE Rino, who is a puppet of the WEF
I cannot in good conscience support him due to that

I think it’s RDS. And I hope I’m right.
He’s not my first choice, but he’s the only choice that makes any sense for the R Party and most importantly, the country.
Think back to Trump’s remarks re: Afghanistan at the debate. “Nobody got fired.”

BDR!!!!!!!
Ready and able to take over and lead any day should it arise.
Obviously the best choice.

VP pick needs to be someone further Right of Trump, consider it a kind of assassination protection going forward.
Desantis isn't that guy.

So Trump is more conservative than DeSantis? That’s news to like everyone else on the planet. Regardless of your opinion on the OP, stop making crap up.

This didn’t happen. Those guys openly supported him because they hate Trump and thought he was the best option that could hold Trumps base. He didn’t cater to them nor ask for their support

Would love a DeSantis pick. Would do more to unite the base than someone like Tulsi, Vivek, etc

He’s not. I also think it’s insanely retarded to want someone right of Trump. Beyond stupid,
Back to your post… it was a VOR-level response and I expect better from you.
I think you need a timeout.

I just can’t envision a situation where a particular VP selection causes someone who was originally going to vote for Trump suddenly reverse course and instead vote for Biden.
I would have voted third party if McCain had not picked Palin.

Of all the realistic options available, DeSantis is the best "assassination insurance" pick there is as the Left hates Ron almost as much as they hate Trump.
So Ron should be the pick.
So Ron should be the pick.

I’d love to see it. Unfortunately, I think the vitriol from supporters on both sides probably screwed us out of that opportunity, Really wish RDS could have resisted getting into the race. He would have been the VP pick almost certainly.
