Georgia has a weird rule where if you commit a felony and results in a death it becomes felony murder.
It’s not weird, it’s actually rather common.

Pretty sure he was more tied in with them than that, but yeah his conviction sucks.
He admitted hitting Arbery with his car.

These guys will be white power heroes in jail and have all the time in the world to keep their toenails impeccable.
May even graduate up to having a little colored boy do it for them in jail.

at minimum, false imprisonment.
For trailing behind in another vehicle and documenting the activities?
every time Arbery turned to go in the other direction, avoiding conflict, this guy did the same, chasing him with his truck. he matched every turn. that's a little more involvement than just driving along filming whatever.

Regardless, they would not have been charged or even made the news, if it wasn't an election year and the Democrats needed some racial division diversion news.

Which is a terrible take. The defense had nothing from the jump due to the facts. None at all.

John Horn killed two people actually in the process of committing a robbery, this guy regardless of what was suspected was simply traveling through a neighbor, huge difference.
And the McMichaels shot someone who was reaching for one of their guns, huge difference.
While there are differences between the cases, no one on this board bitched about Joe Horn like they've bitched about the McMichaels.
You can shoot people in the back over a TV, but don't you chase after someone if you have reasonable suspicion that they stole something.

Which has greater odds, that Arbery was a jogger or that he was in that neighborhood trying to steal stuff?

I am just curious why this alleged jogger was were he was.
I live in a subdivision where dozens of people run/jog past my house every day. I would be a lunatic if i thought one looked suspicious so i hopped in my truck with a shotgun and tried to stop them to question them.
My suspicions give me no right to violate their personal freedom. Even if i were absolutely convinced they were up to no good, i would just report it to the authorities

I didn't make that argument, trial lawyers did. I just made a thread about it.

Your state allows citizens to shoot people over property... Google Joe Horn, shot two men in the back over property, walked free.
As it should be... go Texas... don't be a frickin thief.

It's actually 1st degree murder in the State of Louisiana. Felony murder is generally punishable by life in prison or the death penalty, same with felony murder in Georgia, but the state elected not to seek that penalty early on.

He's actually right.
Local police and DA had the video and sat on it for months, deciding not to prosecute. It somehow got leaked and because it was an election year full of BLM riots and hightened racial tensions, it blew up. Justice department stepped in. Outside of those circumstances, those guys are probably still going about their daily lives. Whether right or wrong, it is still true.
That "somehow" is the McMichaels leaked it because they though it showed self defense. They actually asked neighbors to help promote the video on social media once they leaked it.
And that video didn't need am election year or anything else to blow up the story.

They were in the wrong but you saying they chased him down just because he was black is wrong. Let's not act like Aburey was a saint. Didn't need to die at the hands of those men though. He probably would have eventually been gunned down by one of his own if they had let nature take its natural course.

Based on your understanding of Georgia law? Please, expand upon that.
