We tested when I had my company. We ignored positives for pot and then simply told people when they were being tested. I was not going to lose some of my best people to horseshite testing requirements.

You haven't been traveling much have you. Panhandling has been rampant in most large cities for years now.

I lived in Denver from 08-13 and I tell you it is way worse. Than before. Those people moving from CA were not homeless, they were wealthy and trying to get out of a failed state only to recreate it in Colorado, best I can tell. A friend is a ER Doc and says he sees way more people jacked up on marijuana since 2014. Marijuana related traffic fatalities are up 44 percent was what he told me. So I will take the word of a Dr I trust vs the word of the Marijuana industry and liberal politicians.

He was reffering to,this... says he has seen several patients

quote:

Coinciding with the increasing rates of cannabis abuse has been the recognition of a new clinical condition known as Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome. Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome is characterized by chronic cannabis use, cyclic episodes of nausea and vomiting, and frequent hot bathing. Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome occurs by an unknown mechanism. Despite the well-established anti-emetic properties of marijuana, there is increasing evidence of its paradoxical effects on the gastrointestinal tract and CNS. Tetrahydrocannabinol, cannabidiol, and cannabigerol are three cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant with opposing effects on the emesis response. The clinical course of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome may be divided into three phases: prodromal, hyperemetic, and recovery phase. The hyperemetic phase usually ceases within 48 hours, and treatment involves supportive therapy with fluid resuscitation and anti-emetic medications. Patients often demonstrate the learned behavior of frequent hot bathing, which produces temporary cessation of nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. The broad differential diagnosis of nausea and vomiting often leads to delay in the diagnosis of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome. Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome shares several similarities with CHS and the two conditions are often confused. Knowledge of the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and natural course of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome is limited and requires further investigation.

yes you can; especially people that operate heavy machinery

something else to think about; if you smoke a joint and get in an accident 29 days later that someone dies in, you can also be charged with vehicular homicide if they find weed in your system, even if the other driver was actually at fault in the accident

get upset all you want, but it's true...

The south won’t legalize it soon. Way too much money to be made locking up people for minor drug charges.

Ok? So exactly where do the folks that smoke work? Seriously curious and I owned two companies where we could have opted out of testing but our insurance would have been ridiculously high if we had done so...

I never understood the logic behind marijuana being tested for.

There's a difference between being high while working versus being high during off time. Same damn thing as being drunk.

True story- I have never once been tested in NYC working for a couple of large engineering firms.

In Louisiana I got drug tested all the time doung the same work.

I see no difference between someone drinking on their own time and someone smoking on their own time. I dont smoke btw, but for health reasons, not employment or moral ones.

it is bullshite, absolutely 100%

the big problem is that the residual of weed stays in your system long after the "high" wears off - long after someone is impaired

and we really do not have a way to test fro "recency" that I know of

so residual traces up to 4 weeks later CAN cause you to lose a job or face criminal charges; even though you are no longer impaired...

Which is the problem with all these "marijuana related accidents" that people keep bringing up.

That's the reason I figured the whole testing thing is done.

Can't know for sure if they were high on the job, so we'll just assume practically any level of THC in your system means you were high at work.

I would be happy if it we're just decriminalized.
