Don't underestimate the politics of the situation. This is a female officer in the middle of the #metoo bullshite. She will be quietly transferred to a dead end post and out of the Army in the next 3-5 years and that will be the end of it.

Perhaps but I believe the political optics tilt in favor of demonstrable punishment. If she's going to cry 'me too' she'll do it with a shitty set of orders and the senior rater comments that will end her prospects of future promotion - and she'll be able to paint that picture if she wants. Far better to counsel - put a GOMOR and POTUS reprimand in her file - send to an admin board or courts martial - and let a panel of officers decide her fate. She'll have no firm ground from which to argue from in that situation. Good thing about DC is that they'll have no trouble getting a panel together. Lot of rank in that area.

I just know how many of these type of situations I investigated while in CID that when it turned out the woman was obviously lying no official actions were taken against her. She was simply blackballed in some shite hole assignment until she left the service of her own accord.

Not saying it can't happen, just saying how I've seen the Army work. Above a certain rank it's all about politics. If this woman has a powerful ally, she's bullet proof, even from the President in some cases.

If this is true, however, I would expect to see an official reprimand from Trump and from the CSA, and then the unceremonious retirement of this doctor.
