It’s great to know we also agree on politics.

When asked about politics he usually just says he doesnt like talking about politics as it tends divide people than bringing them together. He will sometimes gives his thoughts on a particular issue but he tends to be respectful of others opinions. Kinda a live and let live attitude. So anyone claiming he think this way or that way politically probably doesnt know what they are talking about. Lars and Kirk....they are very public with their opinions.

There are some anti-war elements woven into a few songs from Metallica's early years, but then they threw down "Down Tread on Me" on the album adorned with the Gadsen snake. Many were puzzled by this.

As a listener for over 30 years, I've never taken lead singer James Hetfield for a leftist. Lars and Kirk, yes. Rob? I don't know. James? No way.

Does he also know he sucks on the drums?

Weird that you got the downvotes. He's pretty universally considered the worst metal drummer of all time.

Remember when artists that wrote about this were cool?
Nowadays they are gaslighting artists that call out the bullshite and elevate people like Lizzo.
If you are into rap or trap I suggest Tom MacDonald. He goes hard in a different kinda way.

No Remorse is a pretty celebratory of war, but Disposable Heroes...

Soldier boy, made of clay
Now an empty shell
Twenty one, only son
But he served us well
Bred to kill, not to care
Do just as we say
Finished here, greetings death
He's yours to take away

Back to the front
You will do what I say when I say
Back to the front
You will die when I say you must die
Back to the front
You coward
You servant
You blind man

Back to the front

Needs to be left alone. It’s a little too much.

I’m not sure about Jason’s political leanings. He grew up with middle class parents in Battle Creek, MI; he’s into the art scene, now. Who knows?

James leans right, and the other 3 are to the left.

He doesn’t like talking about politics bc the assholes in the entertainment business would wreck his life if he said something all insureectiony like “freedom”
