Illegal immigration slightly declined during the Obama administration. Thanks Obama.

A small miracle if true, considering how little effort they put into curbing illegal immigration.

Not a huge fan of Arpaio, and that list is pretty damning. I wouldn't accept that in a democrat.

However this:

quote:

Maricopa County Office of Management and Budget, completed in April 2011, found Arpaio had misspent almost $100 million over the previous 5 years

quote:

As of June 2014, costs to Maricopa County taxpayers related to Arpaio's and Thomas's failed corruption investigations exceeded $45 million, not including staff time.[103][104]

How is spending $45 million on a single investigation on $100 million worth of corruption responsible prosecution?!?!?!?!?

Seriously? Obama was considered deporter in chief by latino interest groups. Illegal immigration was at a net of zero in the last few years of his presidency.

Are you referring to DACA??

His job was to uphold the law and he was breaking it. He was not "doing his fricking job". He was doing the opposite of his job.

If you don't agree with me then you must be a worthless person. Real tight argument there.

Obama deported more illegal immigrants than ANY president in history. The issue isn't with Obama. The issue is with a rogue sheriff who decided he was above the law when his only job was to uphold the law.

DACA. Sanctuary Cities. Deporting a lot of illegals means that you're letting in a bunch of illegals in the first place. I don't see how any of you can say that Obama was tough on immigration. He wasn't, and basically if you weren't a violent criminal, he let you stay and mooch off taxpayers and not pay a single dime into it except for sales taxes and some property taxes.

You guys are right, what a fricking great immigration plan. Let's just keep deporting the criminals that will come back over and over again due to a lax border and let the moochers stay.

If he is charged and convicted of misappropriation of gov funds then I will agree with you but my understanding is that this pardon only covers the dubious contempt ruling by a vindictive judge. If he did the things he's accused of in this thread then let him rot.

His job didn't include breaking the law and working outside the scope of the constitution.

You're a disgrace.

He was told to stop doing patrols and didn't listen to the judge. He was arrested for doing his job. Convenient you left he facts out.

Obama deported mostly criminals who returned over and over again, due to a lax border. Hence why there were so many criminal illegals to deport in the first place.

A judge isn't the same thing as a constitution, Nancy. He might have been a piece of shite, but he was arrested for doing illegal immigration patrols against the wishes of a judge. Not the same fricking thing. It was a misdemeanor for fricks sake.

And billions in income taxes.

I guess because I did some immigration work and got to witness it firsthand. It was breathtaking at how fluid their deportation processes were.

The judge ruled the behavior unconstitutional.

I won't continue to debate with a bigot.

Because the 'conviction' was a political decision = that is the best reason.

No telling how many innocent lives he saved by doing the right thing and actually enforcing the law.
