They didn't live in an age where the entire world populace can see it on full display. That is quite a difference when it comes to the ability to be in denial. The overwhelming majority weren’t “victims.” They were of age and were paid. The number of underage victims is probably small and Epstein himself was probably the abuser for most of those.

There is MUCH more to what has been released that needs resolution.
Why is no one raising ten kinds of hell about Epstein "winning" the Powerball not once but twice?
Why is no one asking why our dear friend Israel behind the child trafficking and sacrificing?
Why is no one understanding that Bill Gates was collaborating with Epstein about pandemics to decrease humans on earth?
Why is no one connecting the dots that all of our history is a lie?
Why did Epstein have the painting of GWB holding a paper airplane with the twin towers in the background?
Why did Epstein have a painting of Clinton in Monica's blue dress at his island torture dwelling?
We the People deserve all of these answers.

Correct.
People want people they don't like to be named in the files. They are looking for verification of who they believe are named in the files.
People thought a pizza place in DC had child sex slaves in the back of it.. Some dude goes in with a gun to save those kids, which there were none of. Its just insane how invested people get in shite that has nothing to do with their lives.

The more intriguing answer: Fear and hush settlements. Both of which I would expect did factor for some involved. I doubt the number or extent is as big as many imagine, though.
The boring answer: I think abuse like this is mixed and complicated for the victims. See Giuffre and others. Some probably don't know where the lines went from rape to abuse to groomed to consensual. I suspect many involved got on with their lives and don't really want to become household names.

I think this is a major source of messiness for the purpose of law enforcement. I think Epstein tended toward the line and often went over it, but having 19 year olds on your arm that you've imported from Poland isn't a crime.
Observers likely couldn't reliably tell what was what, and that probably only furthered their ability to lie to themselves when they continued associating with him.
