Its when you try to preserve the civilian pop is when things go bad.
If it ever got to that point I dont think China would just sit back and let us bomb their population centers (even with conventional bombs) without deploying their nukes.

Does not work on hand held, carried and operated in the field drones. Not even close. Drone is much too small. Drone flies much too low. Drone is anti-personnel, not anti-ship.

Taking nukes off the tabel:
On a neutral battlefield with all of our resources and supply lines? Absolutely.
If China tried invading us? Absolutely.
If we try to invade China? China has such a ginormous military (~2M active military, another 500k in reserves and something like 13M who could be mobilized within 6-12 months) that trying to make landfall would make Normandy look like a pillow fight as they could just "zerg" an invading force into exhaustion. I'm not saying we could not eventually win, but that the cost in manpower and resources could be so high that it would be more a pyrrhic victory than anything else.
