What the hell is going on at the University of South Alabama

Two crazies in the news in the past few days.

For the second time in recent weeks, a University of South Alabama professor, identified by students as Department of Mathematics and Statistics assistant professor Joshua Lioi, approached the Turning Point USA tabling event, apparently to confront students with leftist talking points and crude name-calling.

The University of South Alabama (USA) has released a statement saying that, despite social media posts and resources to the contrary, "There is no 'queer animals lab.'"

I say this as someone who works as a college professor and that does research at the second biggest school in GA by enrollment:
Tenure needs to be abolished. It’s the dumbest system ever. People who are terrible at their jobs and are polluting students and the overall body politic with poison need to be able to be fired

When a person's employment is protected they tend to get lazy, fat and belligerent.

It like most things leftist tend to infect, served a good purpose during its inception, by way of protecting the freedom of speech for college professors exploring controversial subjects (and was primarily concerned with their research not the things they were teaching at the time.) Now it has been disfigured into protecting the people who actively hate the west and work to to subvert it from within
