Bruce Jenner is one of the oddest examples. A gold medal decathlete and he decides to be a woman. We will never understand this.

This is a perfectly normal reaction to private conduct. I would not go out of my way to 'insult' someone who was acting within any normal societal situation. Meet some cross-dresser on the street? = ignore them unless they are creating a public nuisance. In a business situation, if they are not 'acting up' - let them be.
BUT - if the creep is making demands on being treated in line with their delusion, then to hell with them. Ignore if possible but do not acquiesce to their 'demand'.
From the clip I have seen of the incident in congress, I believe the transperson never made any reaction to being called 'Mr." - it was the fruitcake DEM who demanded the rest of the hearing honor the fetish. He was the turd in the punchbowl.
