Think of it this way: If Ukraine were our neighbor and we wanted to invade, how long would it be before we could declare "mission accomplished"?
Not long.
Meanwhile, Russia is still bogged down there.
Our problem is not military superiority.
Our problem is the MIC wanting to extend every occupation for multiple years and siphon as many dollars out of the treasury as possible.

believe it was a Russia General that defected years ago that said it was believed in the Kremlin that America would be able to pull the rabbit out of the hat if they engaged us militarily. That’s why the first strike mentality never really took hold. The fact is we do indeed have a lot of hats and a lot of rabbits.
I honestly believe if the US truly took the gloves off and had no regard for international law or civilian populations we could wipe out entire continents. Not countries, continents.
I never want that to happen. I just believe we could do it.

It’s not even about killing anyone either. We not only are more trained with better soldiers who want to live, we control who gets what from the ocean
Something people rarely think about that is a huge advantage today, is we if got into say a world war requiring a draft of millions of civilians, our civilian population largely is familiar with using firearms and many are comfortable with it. That’s not the case in China, Russia, India outside of their standing armies and police. You grab an average Chinese citizen off the street stick and AK in his hand he won’t know wtf to do with it. They have what amounts to a bunch of cannon fodder

I sat without power for 2 week after Irma. In a big city of a lot more than 500k people.
