Obama era. When most of our free press spent 24/7 hiding his faults and mistakes and attacking anyone that pointed his faults out.

It was like watching some top shelf brainwashing propaganda that tried to convince people that what they saw and heard with their own eyes and ears couldn't be trusted... the only thing that could be trusted is what the free press said.

To me it was the foolishness with Michael Brown. After that it seemed to me that an abyss got bigger. Then the “if I had a son” bullshite. shite snowballed from there and the motherfricker almost seemed to encouraging that divisiveness and violence. frick Barry O.

ALL the fricking Dems seemed to be thriving on that shite.

Obama kicked it into overdrive. It was his entire agenda in the White House.

He was probably the most successful President in history in that regard.

That's a pretty much factual statement. I mean that's the core of communist ideology.

Now saying the democrats are all commies would be a bit insane I'll admit.

It was pretty divided when Reagan was President while I was in high school. It kicked into high gear when Bill Clinton was elected to his first term.

We are one major economic collapse away from one.

Nobody would ever support a civil war of any kind while things are economically good. There's too much to risk, no matter how divided people are.

However if some extended major economic crisis were to hit, the divisions that exist are sufficient to cause people to rise up.

So we're closer than you think. But as I said, as long as the economy is in good shape, nothing will happen.

it was put in such a way as if to say they were successful in doing so and the social changes between the end of WW2 and today are the result of that work. Which would be completely batshit insane and not out of lockstep with the dominant ethos on this board.

I know you didn't. Which is why I phrased my comment like I did.

id say it social media has played a big part in the devide. Now that everyone has a platform to be heard it’s much louder.

It’s not really.
But I wouldn’t expect you to agree. That’s why we’re divided.

You don't think there has not been a concerted attack on the nuclear family and organized religion in this country?

I mean communists pretty much are rather open about their disdain for religion and family outside of the state. That's pretty much a core of communist belief.

no

reasonable people can disagree on you know, whether the tax rate for the top bracket should be 33% vs 38%, or how much money we should be spending on the military or on health care. Those are all completely legitimate areas of disagreement and I can respect someone's point of view on those issues while still disagreeing. When you start getting into this communists have destroyed the fabric of American society is where you lose me. It's Alex Jones stuff.

I'll give you another perfect example:

I am open to the idea that man made climate change as presented to us is not happening. Human beings are fallible, science has been wrong many times in the past and will be many times in the future. I am not, however, open to the conspiracy theory that the science is being intentionally misrepresented as part of some globalist NWO plot to control humanity. I mean give me a break.
