There won’t be new drilling right now. Too much uncertainty and Trump is trying to push oil prices down.

You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

There is plenty of drilling going on. There’s a lot of oil being produced.

When Trump left office after his first term gas at the local station was $1.52. During the Biden administration the same station got up to $3.89. When Biden left office the price was $2.89. Today it’s $2.42.

Wrong. There’s plenty left out there. Especially in New Mexico where the rock is better.

They haven’t done laterals yet on many of those wells and there is plenty left to drill.

Just for fun

“In January 2021, the total US rig count was 369. This figure includes both oil and gas rigs”

Already posted today’s.. and last year when Biden was in office..

So it was lowest price when we have the least amount of rigs drilling.

Hmm maybe instead of drilling baby drill we need to stack baby stack..

Maybe something else in play ….

In New Mexico, the cost of drilling is notably higher compared to other regions, which necessitates elevated oil prices for operations to be economically viable. Additionally, the regulatory process in the state can significantly slow down drilling activities. As a result, current market conditions make it less appealing to invest in oil production when prices are at $60 or below.

Too high? At $68 bbl? You think they are going to run out and start drilling like mad at $68/bbl to lose money when the price drops even more? Publicly traded companies have shareholders to answer to.

There is a 'lease sale' for blocks in the Gulf of America scheduled to happen this fall. They were suspended under Biden,

Only for new permits.

Some companies have been sitting on leases that could be drilled tomorrow, but the cost is too high get the oil out the ground.
