Followed by, "After listening to that for a half hour let me make it clear Joe Biden is Catholic and he is a man of faith."

Bearded Cruz >> Clean shaven Cruz

Any video of this? Cruz was my first choice in 2016. Love that man and I hope he's president after Trump.

Ted has every qualification you would want in a cantidate and you can know he wants it more than anything but it will never happen.
It is just the presentation that is lacking.

Agree. I did not want Cruz in 2016. Would rather have him than Trump now.

This isn’t Cruz pre Trump. Trump being president helped bring this Cruz along into the savage he is present day.
This is 100% correct.

I voted for Cruz in the primary. If he'd have won the nomination we'd be talking about President Hillary Clinton right now.

Cruz, if you hadn't noticed, has largely followed Trump's lead in how you deal with these people.
I also think that Cruz realized sometime in 2017 that the current democrat party has completely embraced Marxism and anti-Americanism. He knows through his relatives what happens in communist regimes and it ain't pretty.
He took the gloves of and is bare-knuckling it now for our future.

It took someone like Trump to show the R's how to fight. As contentious as it was between Trump and Cruz in the 2016 primary I believe Cruz would be the first to admit the republicans desperately needed a Trump type figure to energize the the Republicans/conservatives. Trump and Cruz are really good friends now....no hard feelings.

I voted for Cruz in the Texas primary. Held my nose and voted for Trump in the general. And you are absolutely correct.
Yeah - I grudgingly came to that same realization - I'm not even sure he'd have survived the election = I just thought he had a much better chance of winning than any of the other candidates - and I thought that Trump had no chance at all.
wrong - wrong - blessedly wrong

During the 2016 primaries I supported and voted for Ted Cruz. Even came on this board and called him the best presidential candidate, on either side, in thirty years.
That said, I am grateful Ted did not win the nomination. Had he done so we would be here watching hillary clinton campaigning for her second term in office.
Donald Trump was the only one who could have defeated her in 2016.
Ted is a force in the senate, never afraid to take the tough stand, and one of the very few in Washington I actually respect.

Can someone post the video of this beautiful man devouring his prey and roaring on a mountain of a thousand philistine foreskins?

He may be, in 2024. He is not the same Cruz that ran in 2016. Imagine 4 more years of him leveling up.

Cruz, if you hadn't noticed, has largely followed Trump's lead in how you deal with these people. Granted, he's way more eloquent and knowledgeable, but Cruz of 2020 is a different presentation than Cruz of 2016. Fundamentally I'm sure he's the same, but now he doesn't hold back his punches.
This is true. Cruz has become one of Trump's biggest and most vocal allies. If he's held any grudges, he's done a hell of a great job hiding them- because he's definitely on board.
I think he'd make a great SCOTUS Justice, one day. "Maybe I'm not the only one who feels that way".

Ted was not what this country needed at that time and here's news for you, he's not what we need at this time either. Trump has unfinished work to do.
