There's many reasons why:
1. They don't want to be labeled as a racist or bigot and be ostrocized by their peer groups.
2. They like pot and the outdoors, care about the environment, and think that the Republicans are trying to destroy the earth and lock up people over weed.
3. They want to have sex with white women, who in most major cities, are OVERWHELMINGLY progressive and sexually screen out men who do not virtue signal progressive values as well.
4. They have rich parents and feel guilty about all that privilege they grew up with, so they feel the need to signal virtues to not seem like stuck up dicks.
5. A lot of them are LGBT or have many close LGBT friends and family members that they want to protect from what they see as civil rights infringements by republicans.
6. A lot of them work for the government, contractors with the government, or for non-profits largely funded by the government and see republicans as a threat to their jobs.
Typically, the reasons for being a democrat come down to fearing republicans, fearing social stigma, and the desire to be seen as compassionate and "on the right side of history".

The ones I’ve observed are mostly intolerant jerks who believe that they are endowed with all the correct answers and viewpoints particularly when in debate with the other side. And that each and every opinion and viewpoint from the other side is an all out lie. And if you do dare oppose their truths which were proven as such by CNN, well then obviously you’re a white supremacist domestic terrorist.

When trannies want all the rights and privileges of anyone else, I think both sides can be consistent in support of such. But I see it as a distraction from the actual politics of how we should be running our country.

First, I never said I consider myself a conservative. I don't believe one HAS to be just a conservative or a liberal.
I believe one can have opinions on both sides without being a hypocrite. But, as I already pointed out, I don't post as much when I agree. Considering I only post in 5% of the threads - at best - and OFTEN TIMES I'm disagreeing with someone over what they think is a conservative principle that I do not, I just don't see that as overwhelmingly anti-conservative.
If you want to see the government passing a bunch of anti-tranny laws and call that conservative, we'll just have to disagree. That said, I don't want to see the liberals passing a bunch of laws to promote trannies.
But since we're on the subject of trannies, I sure would like to see LSU recruit and sign nothing but trannies for all their women's teams, kick arse, set records, and take all the trophies. In addition to finding it hilarious I also happen to think it would expose the absurdity of it all. I'm not sure if that's conservative or liberal, or me just wanting to watch the world burn.
