I believe I am just getting over the Delta. I do not know for sure as I was not tested. Had respitory infection symptoms and also lost smell for a few days. Also cough and tired.
I previously had the original COVID August 2020.
I am scheduled to donate blood in a few weeks. If my antibody level has increased, I will take it I just got over delta.

I’ve got it currently and am pretty fricked up bad headache and horrible cough, no energy, and no sense of smell of taste. I am on the mend in that I think the worst of it was over the weekend, but I’m not to fever break feeing fine yet. It’s not the best experience of my life, but I’ve certainly been sicker.

And yeah they test for variant on the backend so I know I have covid but can’t confirm that it was delta. I just assume it was because of how many people got sick from the same gathering

Family member tested positive Wednesday, zero symptoms as of today. 23, not vaccinated. He got tested because a bunch of groomsmen piled into two hotel rooms for a couple of nights and everybody got the rona. Were it not for that he'd never know he had it.

This is where you lose normal sane people.
The first round of Rona was killing people in the streets right and pretty much a death sentence per the media.
It’s a shame that the media has sensationalized it, because my wife would openly acknowledge that it never got like that here last year and isn’t there now. But she would tell you point blank that it’s worse.
FYI: she’s against mask and vaccine mandates. Believes everyone’s health choices should be their own.

No meds?
I’m taking hydroxychloriquine and ivermectin. Also some other cocktails of stuff I’m not even sure what it is

Safe to say that anybody who got Covid in the last 2-3 months had delta. I went all last year and up until May without catching the first Covid version. Then suddenly I catch it. I’m assuming it was delta.

Use this info how you choose. Just have access to it and wanted to share with the board.
Are these people vaccinated or unvaxxed?

How do they know you have delta?
They don't.. And the test can't tell the difference between Flu and Covid... So, unless you lose taste and smell you probably have the flu.

I tested positive 2 weeks ago at that time they said delta was the dominant strain so that’s what I got to go on. A roller coaster fever that lasted 9 days from a constant 100.4 to 103 the only meds I took was Tylenol and ibuprofen to break the fever and generic antibiotics. Some coughing and loss of taste smell, couldn’t eat much and felt like crap. It’s a miserable 2 weeks for sure. Never went to a doctor. But it verys wildly because my wife tested positive too. She slept for 5 days straight with a minor fever and that’s it. She has diabetes and thyroid problems. We both are thin people with no other pre existing conditions.

They don’t ask. They treat all Covid patients in the same manner, so it’s not a relevant question.

Is there a test that specifically tells you that you got delta?
Yes.... BUT, the State Labs are the only ones who have the equipment to determine the particular variant.
The turnaround time to get your results is in the 10-14 day range currently.

How do you even know if you have the "delta?"
My wife, daughter, and I were all diagnosed with COVID 2 weeks ago. All they did was swab our noses and told us we had it, no mention of any particular strain.

Curious to know about that as well. Are the symptoms any different than the original strain?

First two days kicked my arse pretty bad with vomit/diarrhea, coughing (not as bad as I would have thought), severe chills, weird type of throat soreness I’ve never had before, feels like sandpaper and I cannot quench my thirst no matter what I do
Interesting. I had similar symptoms last week (puked for the first time in years) but never got checked because I felt fine 36 hours after the onset of symptoms. I figured it was a 24 hour stomach bug, though the slightly sore throat didn't exactly align with that self diagnosis. That was very mild so I assume/d it was coincidental.

I was told delta has more headaches and sneezing than the OG
