The boomer generation is the first in America that felt no responsibility to the generations that were to come after them. Now they’re mad that the generations they raised don’t exhibit their same values.

But hey, Walmart is only a short drive from my Chinese drywall home, amirite boomers!?

This is how I know you are ignorant and the rest of your post is B.S.

We were forced into S.S. by the greatest generation. My S.S. number was originally nothing more than an account number. They forced me to save. My S.S. is simply me getting back some of what I was forced to save.

Medicare is forced social medicine. You leftist bastards want us all on it. GUESS WHAT, I have better coverage for less money on my company plan before THEY FORCED me on it AT 65. ... Then I had to get a rider policy to cover the difference AND DRUGS STILL aren't covered after I reach my maximum which happens around August.

Now get off the mountain and learn a little before you start throwing rocks, prick.

Are we going to pretend that 1968-1973 wasn't infested with high school and college aged "protesters" that were the first generation that didn't want to do their 2 years in the military? They weren't willingly led by assclowns like Alan Ginsberg and Timothy Leary and joining bullshite revolutionary groups like the SLA and Black Panthers?

Maybe you're the one that needs to open a history book?

You boomers are some incapable fricks. Always someone else’s fault. Y’all love acting like you haven’t had forty plus years to fix the things you didn’t like.

But sure, it’s your kids fault

My parents are and good for them! They worked from 14 if not younger, struggled, raised a family ( not the internet) and now have the time. What do they owe me?

What did their parents owe them? How much has the national debt increased under their watch?

I’m glad they are finally quitting the workforce.

Businesses will be better for it.

Now if they would just retire from political office…

Do these boomers really?

This is why the elite rule like godkings over everyone else. They play the long game. The world is simply not the same as it was when boomers made their wealth, and it will only get worse.

Most millenials had no chance thanks to elite overproduction..

It will only get worse.

You’re right. I am mistaken. The vanity and self promotion you pushed in the 80’s is a value you most definitely passed down to the next generations.

Forgive me.

POS Boomers have always been selfish. This is nothing new. I think Gen X will be balanced and Millennials will be like their Boomer parents.

I’ve never heard this term before but Serge Obolensky said it was one or the two leading causes of the Russian Revolution.

There was an entire generation of men who were trained for jobs that simply didn’t exist. And who, because of their education, expected a much better life than they actually had.

They were very bitter and resentful.

The oligarchy embraces all the values they publicly reject. They get married, and stay married. They’re financially disciplined, and plan for their future, and their children’s futures.

The political class, which is one rung down in the power structure, usually follows those rules. But then you have people like the Biden’s who have terrible values and will go back to being poor when Joe dies.

The Clinton’s are another example of this.

I was recently exposed to the term Elite overproduction as well, and as you said, it is disturbingly familiar. Kids went to college because it was the thing to do, only to find there was no job waiting for them, thanks to colleges offering BS majors that have no place in higher education.

Bonus points that the creator of said term said that the USA would experience societal upheaval in the 2020s because of it.

Bravo and well said.

In the end I have no issue with anyone enjoying their life and the things they have earned; indeed, god bless them. But to expect the same from your own kids, grandkids, while simultaneously acknowledging how much worse the world is or how it is generationally rich POSs run the world and are driving this country into the ground, or how you are not giving them a damn thing and expect them to stand on their own in the middle of runaway inflation and a society gone mad...

well that's just the level of cognitive dissonance I would expect from a progressive.

I am by no means rich; however, I have helped educate my kids and put them in a place to make themselves a good life. While they may get something when my wife and I die, that will not be my concern.
