She's not a Millennial, I'm a Millennial and I think the overreaction is total bullshite, the governor of Texas said today we are not allowed to gather in groups of over 10 people on our own property. I see mass transit buses still running, I see airplanes still taking off and landing, I see 100 people in line at HEB, but if 25 of my friends and I want to boil some crawfish Saturday we have the threat of having to deal leo's for it, it's ridiculous.

It’s like anyone under the age of 56 is a millennial here.

My wife (high school teacher) is retiring at the end of the school year (which may have already happened).

She said the generation coming out of high school is the most selfish of any she has seen in her tenure of 30 years.

This has been my observation as well. At the risk of generalizing, I think it's due to permissive/socially correct/everybody gets a "participation trophy" parenting.

I also think that it's due to them only knowing relative prosperity in their teen years..... Boy have they a rude awakening coming to them!

Hope they don’t bring it home to Grandma and Grandpa, on second thought they probably don’t visit the grandparents except for holidays

Meh I'll disagree. I was born 87 and feel like 87-88 kids are different. Even 86 the girls who got pregnant in school, kids are still in high school. This is the kids from the late 70s, early 80s that were after boomers. There are a lot of trash, single mothers, and entitled people from that time. Their kids (18-25) are the open mouth fricks who made it so bad.

The vast majority of Millennials are now in their 30s. These aren't Millennials. This is Generation Z. And I applaud them for not falling for this shite and questioning authority. That in and of itself is very American.

Correct ! They don't see the big bogeyman the government wants them to see. They're college kids and most on here would have done the same thing. The stupid analogy of WWII is totally ridiculous and an insult to those who actually went thru the horror of that campaign. You're telling me you wouldn't rather have a case of a little flu for a couple days in exchange for a place on the front lines at Bastogne or Peleliu ?
