What I think will be interesting is under the umbrella of a pandemic, employers are being given a lot more freedoms. However, once the pandemic classification is officially gone, what will happen for these companies that require this vaccine but not others?

I can’t imagine, from a liability standpoint, a company requiring employees get it lest some employee encounter an adverse reaction and sue the company.
My company is not requiring it, but it is certainly being very ambitious with internal communications that are talking it up like it’s the responsible thing to do.

They can advise on getting the vaccine, but they can't force anyone to get it.
On the other hand, if your job requires air travel, it's not going to leave you much choice but to voluntarily get vaccinated if you want to stay in your current employment.

Same here. Vaccine shaming is in full force here. The narrative is that if you don’t get the vaccine, you don’t care about your family or your neighbors. My wife and I went to a local coffee shop last night and I swear that the vaccine was the number one topic of conversation of everyone there.

I’m retired, thank God.

They are offering it and encouraging us to take advantage "of this opportunity to protect yourselves and those you care about" (from getting a freaking COLD VIRUS)
If they require it - they won't be "my company".
But I will make them fire me over my religious objection.
