Since they are owned by AGCO they may be woke as well.
There are no small or local agricultural brands. Ag is big business and all multinational corporations from the seed, chemicals, equipment suppliers.
At least my beloved catfish industry is still all local and privately owned. All the farms and processors are family owned. All the feed mills are owned by farmers and source their ingredients pretty locally. Aerators are all made locally by a few companies.
We ran the big corporations out of the industry in the early 2000s with their arse burning. Hormel food, Conagra, and others all took their arse back north after a bunch of Mississippi delta farmers greased them good. A lot of people made a lot of money, but it sure wasn’t them

John Deere doesn't put the pride into their products like they used to long ago, they build them as cheaply as possible at the expense of quality. I used to work at one of their plants and have seen it for myself
None of the big ones do anymore. Long gone are the quality of a JD 4430 or IH Farmall 966
Those tractors still running today will long outlive any new one off the lot. A catfish farmer down the road from me still uses Farmall Ms to run his paddlewheels. He has about 20 of them. Made in the 1940s and still going

Wouldn't fully rebuilding an older, pre emission/electronics tractor be cost effective or are the newer ones that much better on fuel? The GPS stuff? The implements need the computer crap to operate them?
Yes it’s better. All my tractors are pre EPA regs. Mostly JD 5400s, 5303s. A 6410 cab tractor. I have one 2020 Case 120A with DEF which is a pain.
Best tractors ever made were 4020s and Farmall 806. You cannot beat the raw sound of an 806 imo

No idea but I will be surprised to not see it happen to Harley at some point
They are purposely infecting iconic American companies to either take them down or gain complete control over
All part of the demoralization process

quote:its a shame IH went out of business they made the absolute best tractors from pre-war through the 1970s. Deere's were shite. Yanmar had been making their small tractor engines for decades now
actual farmers hate John Deere becuase they make it so hard to try and repair their equipment.

Look up Welker Brothers on youtube. They have mostly old equipment from the 1970-1980s that they upgrade to handle GPS and new implements on a large farm in Montana. I enjoy their ingenuity.

And how many gays/trannys decided to buy a JD tractor because of this bullshite?
Close to zero or zero.
The gays won’t buy it until there’s a John Deere hat in rainbow colors.

It amazes me that such a large sector of the farming community still remains loyal to green tractors.

I bought a shed kept MF 265 with less than a thousand hours on it from family up near Tylertown in 2019. It will climb up and over that fancy dan plastic hooded JD in its horsepower class. Looking them over JD isn’t made for the long haul or foul brush work on a farm.
If they die, they die.
If they die, they die.

JD's bullshite with software
What is the BS? That the machines have software?
They sell customers the same tool they give their dealers to diagnose and fix software issues. It’s called Customer Service Advisor.

Why do these companies continue to make dumb arse decisions.
Because they are all Ivy League Grads, all in the same club, and all are douche-bags. Most of them can't even tie their own shoe laces.
They are just well educated, dumb fricks, and they are all on the same team.

Most people shopping for a tractor are just doing that... shopping for a tractor. Most give two shits about what corporate bullshite they have to do. The is just normal shite in today's corporate America. Until the government changes, this happens. It's a loss for them to do it and a loss if they don't. Welcome to corporate America.

Once again, it’s about the ESG score, attractiveness of their stock and access to financial markets. BlackRock and others force this game on these companies and overly liberal company management doesn’t mind playing along.

Customer complaints and boycotts worked on Bud Light and Tractor Supply. Lets pushback on Deere now!
