my daughter turns one this week. Very lucky this didn't hit sooner since we are almost done. Tough to find anything around us.

And the media's "official" justification for Trump's defeat in 2020 was that he lost suburban women.
Well...If momma ain't happy, ain't no body happy!
I think Biden and the liberals who control him have decided to damn the torpedoes and continue full steam ahead toward the mid-term election and 2024 Presidential Election.
BTW - I have a granddaughter who'll turn 2 in Sept. and a new grandson who'll be born in Nov.

My wife is due in November, and she had issues with latching on our other kids, and had to supplement quite a bit with formula.
I get that. my wife had an incredibly difficult time producing enough milk to be useful. even after several lactation experts and trying everything. she was very disheartened when we had to pretty much give up on that and move exclusively to formula. she wants another but it definitely doesn't seem like a good time ATM.
I hope everyone who needs it is able to find enough. something weird to have to say in America it seems.

We really need to start making critical needed items in our country again and stop depending on Chyna for these things.
Baby formula, integrated circuit chips, tires, antibiotics, and Fritos should be manufactured in the US.

I live around the corner from a huge baby formula plant. I don't know how dependent they are on foreign imports for their production, but it's a huge plant. I don't know much about their operation, but I'm guessing they probably have a bit of a labor shortage causing an inability to ramp up production. I know that is causing a bit of a problem with fulfilling orders where I work.

I got the recipe if you need it. Moms back in the 50s and 60s used it quite often.
Can you post it?

Tried to order some on Sunday and was out of stock. We also went to Sam's, a couple Walmarts, Walgreens and were able to find one container at Winn Dixie.

I'd also be looking for a wet nurse. You would think women who can breast feed wouldn't mind selling some of their milk.

I'm pretty nervous about it. Our first is due in July....while we plan to breastfeed I know that doesn't always go according to plan...been wanting to stockpile but have no idea what brand or kind to....this shouldn't be something I have to worry about in this country

As a parent of four, I’ll share my experience.
Baby 1: has trouble latching and cries. A lot. I freak out after a few days of issues and buy formula. As we use formula, baby gets used to that wonderful easy flow. Has even more difficulty latching, we stop entirely.
Baby 2: We jump almost straight to formula based on experience with 1.
Baby 3: We are experienced parents unfazed by crying. Baby comes too fast, so no epidural. Baby is more awake and has more success feeding. We utilize coaches and are patient. Baby breast feeds exclusively.
Baby 4: Use a birth center vs hospital, no pain meds. Successful from day 1.
Bottom line, we failed the first time because I was a worried, lazy bitch. I should have been more patient and encouraged my wife to do the same. Baby isn’t going to starve.
I absolutely think there is something to the epidural hurting the initial attempts.
So many resources out there, use coaches.

My brother is having a tough time finding the particular brand his son takes. Out of stock online and through manufacturer. Think he has about a two month supply he was able to scrounge using friends and family

It's tough because sometimes you may have to go through 2-4 different kinds before you find one that works.

Your wife’s breast will make free milk. And believe it or not, it’ the best thing for your newborn, it has your wife’s antibodies in it.

While grocery shopping today, I happened to walk by the cabinet containing baby formula. I'm guessing it was 3/4 empty! This is no hype. Back in the day this was never an issue.
