Trump is like Michael Jordan in the sense that he looks for ways to put himself in a combative position. That's what motivates him

Trump... kept his composure and crushed.

Seriously, fellow "cult member" here... you think he "crushed" it in the debate last night?

I'm not so sure. I think he and we should be thankful right now that his opponent was a walking braindead zombie.

Trump needs to step his game up for future debates. He wasn't as sharp and armed with stats or quick to the point rebuttals etc... There were some easy softballs lobbed to him by Biden that I think he whiffed on.

do you think independents will look at the Democratic Party propping up some replacement at the last minute as a sign of a strong path forward for the next 4 years?

If Biden does stay in the race and asks for a second debate Trump has a compelling argument to demand a drug test. Checkmate.

But again, that's if he stays in.

Your correct. I was expecting Trump to try and agitate Biden. He did the opposite. He needs to continue displaying a less abrasive side of himself, until he's sitting in the White House again, then unleash him!

I bet when Biden team planned this debate with CNN and they chose those anchors, then they set all the rules that seemed to cut heavily against Trump’s usual style, they were banking on Trump firing back and refusing to debate unless the rules were changed.

I questioned the decision by Team Trump to participate in a debate with Team Jotato setting all the rules, I was wrong and I'm quite happy about being wrong.

And he did it while looking sharper than ever. Trump has dragon blood in his veins.

Rebel,

Biden does not have "a team", he has 10,000s of thousands of bureaucrats scared shatless that Trump is gonna pull an Argentinian Milei on their arse.

He has no choice in the matter. One word publicly from the obama and he is gone, the wolves will immediately call for and get the vote to have him removed from the ballot and electors will chose, its been done before, people forget that.

Trump is running a PR campaign and winning. However, he is the villian to the dems hero in this story. He is part of gang with the dems and the media. They tell us the story they want us to hear.

In this case they will have time to bring in some whirlwind community organizer who may or may not actually meet the qualifications but will continue ceding our country to outside influences under the claim of creating a worldwide economy. Hell, our forefathers fought against a worldwide economy then built and empire. Neither of these guys is truly of the mind of independence our forefathers possessed.

Biden would’ve been able to spin that as Trump backing down and not debating.

Trump calls their bluff and accepts all the terms as proposed and it turns out to be the biggest political disaster for the dems I can remember in my lifetime.

The legend of Trump continues

More than all of this, Dark Brandon showed up and Trump never fell for the attacks.

And another thing, let's not forget that our republic or democracy or whatever you want to csll it is less than 300 years old. It's crumbling due to the world economy vision. I wonder if in the other 10000 years or more this earth had been around if our society has been attempted. How similar is modern day US as compared to the Roman Empire of more recent memory?

I am here to say that Trump really pleasantly surprised me in that debate.

It's not just that he accepted the terms, but the fact that he did not violate any of the terms during the debate. He didn't try to talk over Biden, he didn't insult the moderators, etc.

I would not have believed beforehand that he could have reigned himself in and acted with the degree of discipline that he showed during that debate.

It was the key to the arse beating he gave Biden.

Credit where it is due. Trump ruled on this one.

I would not have thought he was capable of surprising me like that, but he did.

Well I didn’t say he had a Ted Cruz type of performance. He crushed for Trump standards.

You are correct, but that's really difficult for Trump.

Ben Shapiro called this almost a year ago. Whoever the election ends up being a referendum on will lose. Trump needs to not call attention to himself and just keep focusing on Biden, which he did in this debate.

Not calling attention to himself goes against every fiber of that man's being.

But if he can keep doing what he did in the debate, he wins.

You don’t know for sure if the Democrats made that a non-negotiable that they do it in June.

If Michelle Obama doesn’t run the Dems are fricked no matter what happens at this point. If they pull a 25th, Dems will look like gaslighters and liars for the last couple years because they knew this is how he was all along (btw so did we) and he wasn’t actually leading the country. On top of that they’ll have Kamala as president, and they’ll HAVE to run her at that point.

On top of that, if they get someone else, Kamala will not only freak out but she’ll have been passed over for someone who isn’t black. I don’t think they have anyone with enough name recognition who’s black to replace her.

They’re in such bad shape that even if the Democrats by some miracle won with Biden, they’d probably be even worse off than losing. Any leftover faith in the election system, regardless of political affiliation, would be gone for 75% of the country.

The media campaigning against Biden is the biggest dead giveaway that they will switch out candidates somehow. They absolutely cannot win without the media.
