Well said. This thread is kind of silly. Working for a prosecutor’s office in college probably opened up my eyes to things more so than anything else in my life. Maybe getting my first paycheck.

In particular order:
1-2) My parents
3-4) My siblings
5) Ron Paul

was in my teens and not old enough to vote when Paul ran on the republican ticket in 2008. his campaign shaped my political views

Sounds like weed and TV/YouTube has had the most influence on your thinking. Ever read a book?

I mean, the younger I am the more likely I am to be influenced by them. And I’ve read both Harris’ and Hitchens’ books. Penn caught me right as I started to question the world around me, and the libertarian POV just made immediate sense to me, possibly due to Matt and Trey. Carlin was just fricking brilliant and will go down as one of the 20th century’s greatest philosophers.

I mean, I interned at the top level for a pharma company, and I was in the board room where the top executives openly admitted to having the cure for glaucoma, but they saw no profit in it to develop the product. That was a pretty eye opening moment for me in my life.
