Fiorentina may be on the rise after a dismal year and half.
Their owner Delle Valle has promised an infusion of cash and commitment to build a stadium.
They hired ex-Roma DS Daniele Prade and Vincente Montella as manager.
It seems they may well convince Jovetic to stay on board and they're assembling some interesting parts as they rid themselves of Montolivo and Vargas who seemed malcontented and under performed recently.
Montella will employ a fast paced attacking 4-3-3 and they've brought in some interesting parts for him to work without breaking the bank:
att/treq = El Hamdaoui (Ajax), Mattias Fernandez (Sporting Lisbona)
centrale = Borja Valero (Villarreal), Aquilani ( Liverpool), Cuadrado (Lecce/Udinese)
defensori = Roncaglia (Boca Juniors),
Gonzalo Rodriguez (Villarreal)
GK Federico Viviano ( Palermo)
Upgrading their medical staff may be key as they are bringing in some players with past injury issues but, overall, I like the signings. They may be a dark horse pick to surprise and challenge for the top 4-5 this year if they stay healthy.

dandy after the olympics would you still pay $40mio for javi?? i dont ask this in a condescending way. i really didnt watch any spain matches and dont care to, if he comes to bayern, all the better. if not then oh well.

Ferguson is now after Sahin, but he wants a transfer, not a loan.

That's alot of money. I don't know what players who could be considered competitive command at the moment.
He is very, very good though, with tremendous experience, and only 23.

Dandy what position better suits Cazorla, winger or operating in behind the striker/free role in mid?
Posted on 8/4/12 at 9:41 am to DB10_AFC
he can play both equally well, but probably he is more useful as an attacking with absolute license. it depends on the side's needs/surrounding personnel.

Well there is a hole in the mid where Cesc used to play. Free role behind the striker. Its all Santi's now.

I don't know if he'd be as successful there. I don't know who his supporting cast is. He is more offensive and much quicker, yet possesses less dominion and presence as per qb'ing a side in attack. Cesc es mucho Cesc.

We run a form of 4-2-3-1. He would be the in the middle of the 3.
Arteta usually keeps things ticking along in the midfield and Song helps out with creativity as would Sahin if he were to join. Carzola will have free reign to attack in and around the box.

Arteta
Anyway, your club sounds really interesting if they get Sahin, and the players you're mentioning herein stay healthy.
How's your back four?
Who is the keeper now?
Posted on 8/4/12 at 11:31 am to Dandy Lion
Back 4 are all great individual defenders. We need to put in more work together as a unit. Szczesny is our keep. He is young but very talented. Arteta is 30 going 31 this season. He may have a couple of productive years left. If we ever get Wilshere back we would be scary.

Wow. That would be great if it happened. Kagawa and Sahin in the middle with Young and Nani on the wings...It'd be hard to find a midfield better than that in England.
I'd rather go get an established right back right now, but it seems that Fergie was serious about improving the central midfield.

Reading comprehension escapes you, does it not?
this is why fourth and fifth place La Liga finishers regularly draw with or beat EPL champs in CL whose budgets at least quadruple theirs. Major uniformed myopic fail.

Tell Fergie to stay away from Sahin. He is ours.

I would, but I haven't been able to get him to answer for the past few days. He's notorious for letting my calls go to voicemail.
