Mls's parity would work great if they had the NFL'a budget

Ding ding ding.....by letting you see this, I have shown how because it's not your team, you consider it legitimate.
Someone has trouble reading. It's legit because it's a fact. It has nothing to do with my team. Saying Arsenal has trouble winning trophies is also legit, but I'm not going to deny that due to homerism.
Big teams can do what they like with the money as long as there is no FFP to police it, but poor teams are free to be upset that absurd spending messes up what used to be a more reasonable transfer market.

Of course they would agree. Their team doesn't spend the money. You sound like a fricking Royals fan bitching about the Yankees.
I don't watch baseball.

And the NFL's public interest in the US.

MLS would probably be bankrupt if not for the cap.
They're definitely modeling themselves after the NFL, not the EPL. The cap, the draft, etc. does create parity and is an integral reason as to why the NFL is the world's best sports league.

Yankees don't operate at a (large) deficit.
edit: to clarify, they don't operate at a deficit at all, whereas Chelsea does, and a rather large one in recent years.

It's called parity, and it's why the nfl is king
End of argument. Imagine how shitty our pro leagues would be if only 2 of 3 teams controlled all the top talent.

I hate to tell you that your opinion is just that. It's not a fact.

Oh wait. You mean like baseball or any major college sport? Yeah. We love parity.

There isn't a US sport that comes close to the lack of parity in the EPL.

Opinion does not equal fact.
The EPL spends the most money and is more popular than ever. So your theory that it's ruining the game doesn't make much sense. If it were a situation like baseball/basketball where 3-4 teams could always get all the players yea it would suck but there are probably 10-12 teams in Europe that can compete to sign top players so while maybe the parity league to league takes a hit the CL more than makes up for it imo.
Notable exceptions are Spain and Scotland, two team leagues do blow.

CL has parity, sure. Parity between the elite teams causing their own leagues to lack parity.

Ok, of the major American professional sports, which one doesn't have a playoff? How many times has the best regular season team not won the playoffs? Not being a dick, I'm asking. Also only looking at a champion isn't fair IMO, if you look at NFL, NBA, MLB etc, I think you really have about the same 5 teams with the best chance every year. For example, does the KC Royals ever have a chance? Honestly?

Here's some more facts the 6th place EPL team was good enough to win the Champions Leage. For at least two years running the 3rd place La Liga team was much closer to relegation than they were to the second place team.

Exactly and keeping all the revenue to make that divide grow larger and larger to where only an oil baron buying a team allows them to catch up. In this regard, every top team paying high wages and dividing CL spoils were the ones who laid the groundwork for Man City and PSG to exist.
Champions League is a bigger issue to me than unbalanced leagues.
Randy has a point though about marketing and popularity. Outside of England, Italy, Spain (maybe? hopefully?) etc fans, like in America, simply choose one of the big dogs and are happier in general to see the parade of all-star rosters.
Where it sucks is for teams and their supporters who aren't in the clique. Sure leagues have traditionally been dominated by top clubs but I miss the Napoli's of Maradona and Sampdoria's of Mancini competing in Europe on a wing and a prayer but with an actual chance to win.
For example, as a San Diego Padres fan I know we're going to suck most of the time but every decade or so may make the World Series. CL has stripped that feeling away from all but a handful of clubs.

Clearly it's not an ideal setup but those other teams have to set smaller goals like qualifying for Europe or maybe even CL. At least that gives them something to keep fighting for. Even the very bottom feeders generally play games that matter right to the end of the season trying to stay up. What must it be like to be a Royals fan and know 40 games into a 162 game season there is nothing left to play for or a Nets fan who after 10-15 games knows the next 70 games are meaningless? Also, at least the EPL has TV revenue sharing in La Liga Barca and Real get like 80% of the money.
