True, but he would be a great buy if somehow Fulham could get their hands on him at a bargain.
I agree on Diarra. I like anything that gives the club some bit of consistency.

Looks like RVP will be leaving the Gunners for City or Juventus

I know this thread encourages all kinds of rumors, but you got a link on that?

BTW, for people wondering. All of my stuff comes from Skysports, for the most part.
Everton released Hahnemann

The guy writing the article doesn't even know how to use commas.

I can't imagine villa would be interested in Holt.
Good for fulham re-signing Diarra. He and Murphy can't have more than another year or two left. It looks like Jol has brought in a bunch of very young midfielders hopefully one steps up next season

I don't know who exactly would be, but the assumption is that a club, or clubs, has been in contact with his agent. My first guesses were Villa and maybe QPR (they pay pretty good wages actually).
I read somewhere (could be wrong obviously) that he was only on 10,000 a week.

Both Juve and Man City will probably each buy a top striker/ 2nd striker this summer. There's going to be articles linking them to every single scenario imaginable (RVP, Higuain, Cavani, Giovinco etc etc) until that happens.
Seems Juve may be concentrated on an attempt at Higuain first.

We aren't going to sell RvP. If they've offered him a contract, that's tapping up. (Not that i'm unaware that happens) I think we'll keep him even if he doesn't sign an extension.

Sounds about right. He's over 30 IIRC and Norwich was in league one a few years ago.

Qpr pays Barton more than any villa player is paid except for Steven Ireland, whose wages are subsidized by city.
Villa has bent, gabby, Weimann, and Nathan delfuoneso so I we signed holt he would be 3rd or 4th choice at best

I would have thought Bent would have been on higher wages than anyone on either teams, bit surprising actually (except for the Man City connection with Ireland). I know they lured Zamora over with high wages though.
Hasn't Agbonglahor played on the left a pretty good bit? I could see some managers wanting to pair a true target man like Holt with Bent. Of course Villa have no manager at this point so that's a bit beside the point.

My understanding is that bent is on ~70,000 per week while Ireland is on 82,000 (villa pay 60,000 and man city make up the difference until his deal with them was due to expire
Gabby has played on the left predominantly the last 2 years under Houllier and mcleish. He said he would have left had Houllier stayed and I'm sure the same applies to mcleish. He's ready to have a chance to play his natural position again.
For me, Bent is the problem. He is our best player but is best up top by himself although he is completely useless in build up play. To be honest I'm quite torn on him as a player BUT he is a goal scorer and we need him. I agree it's difficult to be a top team and start bent. He scores every other game but it's like playing with 10 men if that makes sense.

Fulham have been linked with Sebastian Giovinco and have like less than a one percent chance of actually signing him. So, that's good.

Arsenal is the favorites and lead in the race for Birmingham's starlet Fadoy Naboy. Deal should be done by next week
Lucio is leaving Inter this summer.

Chelsea to hold talks with Drogba. They also said they are going to have a permanent manager before their US trip.

AS Roma transfer report:
First acquisition is likely to be Rodrigo Palacio. Aside from his horrendous ponytail, I think it's a good move as Palacio has been in excellent form and a great fit. He still has incredible pace and bringing in some experience should help as the team prepares for a run at a CL spot next year.
Probably the first of about 4-5 signings this summer.
These 4 defenders likely going out:
Juan to Flumenense and Heinze to Newell's Old Boys. Both likely to return to their home countries to finish out their careers.
Aleandro Rosi likely to Genoa in the deal for Palacio.
Jose Angel likely to return to La Liga. He has good potential but really not near ready for a big club.
