USL2 is a college summer league, so they can come from all over.

Also discovered the other day the Capitals are returning in the GCPL which is below USL2. Weird we will have 2 teams simultaneously

Birmingham went from two years in the NPSL (4th division) to a year as USL2 side (as the Hammers) to the USL (Legion) in four years. They’re now in a brand new stadium downtown and are 5th in the league in attendance. It’s not impossible.
