As or Marca report that Özil, DiMaría and Benzemá are freaking out, with what will purportedly be Bale´s salary.
Oh man. I can't believe they could be that dumb.

The British newspaper 'The Telegraph', in a story written by Mark Ogden and Pete Jenson, claims that Carlo Ancelotti has told Florentino Pérez that Gareth Bale does not fit into his side and believes he is an unnecessary signing.
The reality is that the Italian coach was informing the president of the upheaval he has noted in the dressing room at the news of the money the Welshman is likely to earn.
When the squad learned that Bale will earn between 9 and 10 million euros per year after tax, players such as Özil, Di María and Benzema made their opposition clear. The heavy weights in the dressing room share their feelings, and believe that this year’s squad is good enough as it stands to fight for every trophy this season, and that there is no need to make further signings, especially for 100 million euros.
Even Florentino himself admitted in an interview with ESPN, “100 million euros is a lot of money”.
Cristiano, whose new contract is almost resolved (it’s set to be announced in the first week of September) is also annoyed, because his own club is going to destroy his symbolic title as the most expensive footballer of all time. “I have my own opinion about the signing of Bale, but I’m not going to reveal it,” he said in Los Angeles.
The Portuguese also fears that the announcement of Bale’s signing will coincide with the naming of UEFA Player of the year (on 29 August in Monaco), and that for the second year in a row he will miss out.
Özil’s father came to Madrid in June to ask for an improved contract (at the moment he earns 5 million euros per year after tax), and Benzema is hoping to meet with the club soon to discuss a new deal, given that his contract runs out in 2015. Di María, meanwhile, is staying at Madrid after refusing to move to Tottenahm as a makeweight in ‘Operation Bale’ and after Cristiano advised him to stay.
No-one is questioning Bale’s quality. But his high price will incur a cost that is not just monetary.

What's Di Maria bitching for, he's lucky to still be getting his paycheck, isn't he on the chopping block but no one wants him?

Di Maria and Benzema crying because a far better player is going to make more than them? Haha, losers. At least Ozil is good.

balague says Barça is close to landing Denis Suarez and has first option to buy Oliver Torres as a result of the Villa deal (hence the low fee)

I don't believe that, but if true Arsene will get slaughtered.
we're desperate and everyone knows we're flush with cash. not a great bargaining position. would seem to behoove us to act earlier but whatever.

he's done to Wolfsburg it seems. Brazilian journo says wages the key, not fee. Volkswagen must be paying him a shite ton. disappointing.
we've (seemingly) approached this summer entirely wrong in terms of who we targeted. at this rate, we'll probably only end up with some random right back.

Nobody wants to play for Arsene, he's content finishing top 4.
