I always buy him in FIFA when playing with a big club so I approve of this signing.

As I posted earlier, the ACL tear makes it a strange situation.

He's been pretty vocal about wanting to stay at Roma next season. From the crazed welcome party he had at the airport after signing to the outpouring of support after his injury, he's really been a fan favorite.

However, our SD Sabatini sold Marquinhos last season when he he absolutely didn't want to leave so a huge offer (€35+) for Strootman, who may not play until sometime this winter, may work.

This difference is that this summer Roma doesn't need big changes like last summer but just to add depth.

On the other hand, we'll probably only have €35-40 million to spend unless we wheel and deal.

Rumors in Spain.

AS Roma is after Atlético´s Filipe Luís, Luís Enrique supposedly wants Valencia´s Matheiu at Barcelona, and Atlético are talking to Chelsea about a Lukaku loan.

Would be a great buy for Roma. This Chelsea-Atletico player exchange system is pretty cool.

Rakitic has not renewed his contract with Sevilla, who have said he will be their highest paid player (in line with Negredo and Kanouté in their day).

The reason? Carlo Ancelotti supposedly has told RM brass that he should be a Merengue.

His recision clause is €40M, but it is estimated that Sevilla would accept €25M for him.

I wish they could agree now before his price rises after a brilliant WC performance.

Are Real moving anyone of note aside from perhaps Khedira?

There's also rumors that Real may have reached an agreement with Iturbe from Hellas Verona.

Real has CR, Bale and Di Maria already being backed up by Isco and Jese. To add Rakitic and Iturbe would certainly give them insane depth but one may wonder if there'd be many games for everyone.

I'm sure Roma is interested as we'll definitely buy a first choice caliber LB to be backed up by Dodo.
However, I think management believes in Dodo strongly enough that it may be a slightly less expensive, quality veteran. Aleksandar Kolarov, who seemingly wants a move back to Italy, is probably more likely.

LE needs to shoot over a big offer for Jose Angel from us and then maybe we can think Filipe Luís!

Roman should offer Courtois and they can keep Costa for their place in the final.

One thinks they´ll move Coentrao (and bring in Siqueira), maybe Morata may be sold, and this Rakitic thing is probably dependent upon the Pogba developments.

Arsenal should buy Mandzukic. I hope they work it out and help him stay in Munich because he's a great player and he's just the right amount of dickheadish attitude.

agreed. I'd say there's no way back after what pep said/is doing to him, but then again I thought the same about Suarez/rodgers.

Help me out here Hendo... Translate the GIF for me..

I understand you guys have a buy back that can't be activated until next year

Edit: articles out this morning saying Bayern will block any move, because they intend tomboy him back in a couple of years..

I don't really see any point of Bayern ever buying him back. He's one of those jack of all trades, master of none type players. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is much better, he got the start in the final yesterday and looked really good and he Pep have a huge bromance,

The only reason Bayern would block the move is just to be an a-hole.

Now, Can could have developed and gotten much better in the second half of the year when I didn't get a chance to watch much more around the league. He can play left back and defensive mid so I'm not really sure where BR wants him to play

From all accounts he wants to bring in a young DM to help spell Gerrard and eventually be his successor... But also to play beside him in a double pivot when the tactics call for it.. Ive read he can play in a more advanced role, too...

That said, given we don't have much quality at LB, I'm sure he could probably see some PT there, too..

He looks like a good physical talent with a big upside. BR has been really good at coaching the young guys (hendo, Sterling) and getting the best out of them...

I'd like to see it happen.. he is the most intriguing Dm that we have been linked with other than Javi Martinez (thats a pipe dream.. even FCB was willing to sell, I don't know if we'd win out for him)

Javi played the libero in a back 3 yesterday... It's like he was born to play that position.

Can is a physically impressive player. Big, strong kid. He's a bit slow with his decision making but if you could speed up his mind, I think he can be a solid player.
