‘WHO ARE ROO?’
Wayne Rooney had not heard of Anthony Martial until yesterday, according to Morgan Schneiderlin.
Sky sources understand Manchester United will pay Monaco an initial £36m for the 19-year-old forward, making him the most expensive teenager in football history.
“To be honest, yesterday [Sunday] on the plane, Wayne Rooney came to speak to me and asked me who Martial was, because the English press had started to speak,” Schneiderlin said.
“I told him he's a great player with great potential, who has played some good matches with Monaco last season and the beginning of this.
“I told him he is technical and powerful. A little like Therry Henry, even if it's the press who are making that comparison.”

If the transfer window in France is closed, how can Chelsea makes bids? Can they still sell players but not add new ones? Is that how this works?
Also
quote:
“A third bid from Spurs for Saido Berahino has been rejected by West Brom. Chairman Jeremy Peace is resolute that he will not be sold in this transfer window as his goals kept the club in the Premier League last season.
"And manager Tony Pulis has left the training ground and gone home already, so even if they make a fourth bid, it is likely to be rejected.”

Oldham Athletic have bolstered their defensive options with the signing of highly-rated youngster Eoghan O’Connell from Celtic on loan until January 1, 2016, subject to international clearance.
He's the cousin of rugby legend Paul O'Connell

I know this rumor isn't good enough for SCH because he looks down on ESPNFC, but this is sourced and not from the Daily Mail or some other rag.
If this is true, this is the dumbest thing I've seen in a while, considering Martial's price tag.

Dortmund were not totally resistant to the sale, and quoted United a price of £60m to begin discussions, but the Old Trafford club were only willing to go as far as £50m.

And I really don't understand what West Brom are doing. They have something around 8 strikers right now.

And Saido is going to be one of the most disgruntled players in the EPL.

Nice to see the kid go from youth football in Dallas, to winning the Libertadores, and now in the Premier League.
