wm72, are you hearing anything about Roma sniffing around Iarmolenko?

Yes, there is definitely some interest (and actually goes back to last summer).

However, nothing that really suggests it's anything more than a potentiality.

I do think Roma will try to sign a winger like Iarmolenko this window but doubt it happens before, at least, LB and striker are wrapped up.

Those are the absolute necessities and upgrading winger will likely mean the added measure of being sure to move Ljalic or Gervinho.

Raheem Sterling has told Liverpool he will not go on their pre-season tour to Australia and south east Asia and the news is set to spark Manchester City into a third bid of nearly £50m for him.

Micah Richards has told new Aston Villa team-mate Fabian Delph that he should only consider moving to Manchester City if he is given guarantees that he will get game time.

quote:

"James Milner has played six or seven positions and still wanted to leave. So if he gets assurances he's going to play then the decision is his. I wouldn't say don't go to Manchester City, because if he's playing well he could play. If you're good enough you'll play.

"It's just being given that chance. If he (City manager Manuel Pellegrini) is going to give him the chance to play then it's hard to turn down the chance of playing Champions League football.

"To be fair he has asked me what I think about the situation. I told him I can't comment to be honest. I don't want to say go there and then he (Pellegrini) doesn't play him - he'll be ringing me up afterwards!"

quote:

Richards said: "It makes it difficult because next year is the Euros. If you go to Man City and find yourself only playing 10 games and someone (else) has a really good season that player is going to play for England. Things can change.

"Sometimes you've got to strike when the iron's hot and Delph is playing well but it's a difficult decision. I'm sure he'll make the right one."

Manchester United are close to completing the signing of Torino defender Matteo Darmian after agreeing a four-your contract with the player, according to Sky sources. United have already settled on a fee of £12.7m with Torino which could rise to £14.4m if the player reaches certain incentives.

Looks like a done deal. This might be a steal. He dominated England in the World Cup.

Hmm, for whatever reason, I thought he was paid 4-5 million/year. Not sure who I confused him with to be so off.

Fenerbahce have agreed a four-year deal to sign Robin van Persie from Manchester United, according to Sky sources.

The Turkish club now hope to officially announce the transfer before the weekend, but there are still some details that need to be finalised and agreed with Van Persie himself.

Fenerbahce director Guiliano Terraneo travelled to London recently to discuss a potential deal with United chiefs for the 31-year-old Netherlands striker, who has one year left on his contract at Old Trafford, although United have yet to comment on the situation.

Thanks RVP for the three years best of luck and stay healthy and for dropping our wage bill down even more.

That leaves only Rooney above 200k a week.
