Facundo Roncaglia's move to Marseille has apparently been blocked by Fiorentina. His agent blames Sousa.

man u is going to get 0

anything > 0 is not an insult given the reality

The financial gain from keeping him this year are more than Madrid will offer

this makes no sense unless you're assuming man u would only be able to replace him with a squad-level keeper, and even then that means they're going to be in a terrible scenario after he leaves with the same assumption and you'll lose that hypothetical marketing gain. therefore, even that argument is without logical merit

it's also funny to hear man u fans try to rationalize this considering the discount they got when acquiring robin van awesome

It makes perfect sense

If we keep him this year and we do well in the league, Europe and in the cups we get more money from TV and other things. We would make more than the 15 million they want to offer. Just think about it.

I think £15mm, for a want away GK, in the last year of his contract, is a good fee...

But they don't need that money, so more power to them... you just gotta hope it doesn't impact his play next season.. or in my case, you hope it does

Well.... since Benitez has said he wants Ramos at RM I guess that means they are getting DDG FO FREE

If you can make more money from said player's performances than selling the player. Then why not keep him.

That and we bought him for 18million no way we sell him for 15 out of principle.

It is what it is.

I'd rather keep him and have a better season which means more money and then let him go on a free. Than selling him now for peanuts.

Aston Villa are willing to listen to offers for goalkeeper Brad Guzan, reports the Mail on Sunday. Villa have already lost captain Fabian Delph, while Christian Benteke is on the verge of joining Liverpool and Guzan could be the next name through the exit door. The 30-year-old American is reportedly available for £3m as Tim Sherwood targets a new goalkeeper.

so you're going to lose that perceived advantage next year, correct? and you're going to do so without the sales price of de gea, correct?

so how do you come out ahead?

this only makes sense if you keep him forever

since you can't, the argument is illogical b/c once he goes, that perceived advantage is eliminated (along with losing the sales price)

so you'd rather just delay having a "not better" season 1 year and lose out on 15M? is this single year that important?

If you make more money in the one season keeping him than what you can sell him for. Then you keep him.

if this year was teh end of the world that would be logical

but it's not. you're going to be without a keeper next year. will you "make more money" next year by not replacing him? no

will you be out 15M? yes

so that argument is not logical and only makes sense if this is the final year that man u (or humanity) will exist

Do we know for sure? I've also seen 3+8m.

That number for Roberts is what Sky reported but apparently the actual fee was undisclosed.

So i honestly have no clue haha.

And I didn't think of his age and homegrown count. Ooops

if PSG gets di maria, what are they going to do?

how do they fit veratti, matuidi, pastore, ADM, cavani, ibra, lavezzi, and lucas?

ADM hit his peak playing "CM" but rotating out left when ronaldo curled in from LM to play second striker. i suppose cavani/levezzi could pair in that role

or a 2-man front with ADM playing traditional LM? then you have a midfield problem

The only situation in which keeping DDG really makes sense is if they think he is the difference between making the CL and not making the CL.

or winning the CL (almost impossible) or league (which is unlikely with chelsea looking real skrong)

i somehow doubt that any loss from DDG and a slightly less equivalent transfer sub (let's say, Guzan for 3M for a season rental) would make a CL difference. if ManU fails, then it's b/c of the 10 in the field or LvG. and they still come out 12M ahead

*ETA: even then, they are in the same "oh shite we're going to lose CL money" boat next year, so it still doesn't make sense. it's just kicking the can one year down the road no matter how you slice it, which is bad UNLESS there is some magical reason why 2015/16 is "the year"

Lavezzi will moved on or to the bench

Also, Cavani/Ibra won't both be on the field at the same time. Ibra is too old to carry the load anymore anyway.
