I mean he isn't world class. That's a fact. I would take Joe Hart over him any day of the week.

He's good don't get me wrong, and he certainly could become a world class goalie, but he isn't there yet.

I mean what are the multiple levels of a player? I don't think there's anything wrong with calling him above average.

He's certainly better than the average BPL keeper, but he isn't on the same level or Courtois, Cech or Hart.

Last time I checked Hart has won two BPL titles, compared to De Gea's one, and is the regular starter for his national team. De Gea has five caps for Spain. If he's "So good" he would have benched Casillas a year a two ago.

Hart was phenomenal last year for City and single handedly picked up just as many points as De Gea did for United.

Like I said, De Gea is good and it would be impossible to argue that.

You are insane if you actually think Hart is better than DDG. DDG is far closer to being in the Courtois/Cech category than Hart is.

is the regular starter for a second tier national team with no goalkeeper heritage (best was an erratic Seaman).

You don´t know how football works on the Continent, especially in Spain.

Given the opportunity, I´d take the younger guy who hasn´t a history of major bonehead plays, wouldn´t you?

All I'm saying is that I personally, a City fan, favor our guy to United's. I've said it like six times now, De Gea is good, but he isn't world class.

You're a god damned retard if you don't think DDG isn't world class. It is him neuer and Courtois (Buffon as well) and then the rest.

And I didn't think of his age and homegrown count. Ooops

Because there's no reason to think about it. It doesn't matter. Sterling isn't over 21 either.

DDG is not world class. He was extremely good the first part of the season, but he slipped a bit as the season went on. I'd still rather him than Joe Hart. Though Hart did have a great year last season. DDG is definitely better, imo with more potential.

#mcfc paying £4m for Patrick Roberts. Lots of add ons that could make it £10m - if he becomes a world beater.

Genk also looking at taking him on loan. Still think he'll end up in Spain or Netherlands.

I'd say DDG is on the cusp of being world class and will get there.. and Hart is an above average keeper, who has probably hit his ceiling...
