I'd would rather further test this group by going into hostile environments and not have to play a lot of CONCACAF teams, but whatever, I'm down.

You mean, like Denver?

Besides, this is where we will be playing the world cup anyway, outside of a few mexico sites. And there will only be 6 CONCACAF teams, and the likelihood that we play more than 1 or 2 seems pretty low.

I doubt we will ever play outside of the US, just like I'm fairly certain all of Mexico and Canada's group stage matches will be in their countries.

Nah, just like the 2026 World Cup, we need to go in with the goal of winning.

Yep US v Argentina (Messi's last major intl tourney???) or Brazil (Neymar's last major intl tourney??? Vini Jr intl coming out party although he still can make waves at this WC)....either in a quaint little arena in Quito would have been nice

I don't give a shite about that. CONMEBOL bastardized the tournament long before the first one in America in 2016. It doesn't even have a set schedule anymore, the federation has just decided to have it whenever they feel like it for the last decade.

I just want to play in South America to push us to our limits.

I just got back from South America and frick me it is hard to do anything. The elevation in most countries is insane and makes simply walking a battle. Would've liked to see our endurance tested by playing in Peru, Chile, Ecuador, or Bolivia.

shite I didn't even think about that, a tournament every summer. Not to mention teams will probably play friendlies here to get the lay of the land.
