I mean now days you can pretty much watch any team on a weekly basis but 10-20 years ago if you wanted to be able to watch your team regularly you pretty much had to pick a big 6 club

But you can’t deny most European soccer coverage is directed to the Americans who pick one of the already top clubs in one of the “big 5” leagues

I’d argue it’s not even 5
Only 4 can you watch ever single game via one of the American Streaming packages

Don’t think every single Ligue 1 game is on Bein

It is very easy to watch every single game of a team in the championship, league one or league two living in the United States

The mid table sides were much more competitive than the league currently is, and we’re much more capable of taking points off the top sides.

So tell your team to get better. Mid-table teams not being very good doesn't make the best teams worse. It just means the mid-table teams suck.

Two top teams way ahead of everyone else doesn’t make the league overall more competitive

I never said it makes the best team worse

These City and Liverpool sides are some of the best ever

The league as a whole was more competitive back then.

How often did the EPL go down to the final day?
Let’s say pre 2010?

Grealish to City is a great example of your point

he was Ok at City, at Villa he was their captain

Probably as often as it does now

Today and 2012 are extremely rare, often the winners clinch with a game or two in hand.

The 99 treble side did it on the last day and wild stat is Chelsea went 21 matches unbeaten in the league and still came in 3rd

2008 United clinched on the final day with 87 points to finish two points above Chelsea and four above Arsenal.

The same Chelsea side they beat in the champions league final

4th place Liverpool only finished 11 points behind United that season. That same Liverpool side that beat Arsenal in the quarterfinals and lost to Chelsea in the champions league semifinals

And people really think the EPL is more overall competitive now

What data do you have to support this?

The EPL most of the 90's had commercial breaks in the states. I remember watching an Everton match when they were counterattacking and commercial break..........comes back and Amokachi scored a worldie. Back then I could watch la liga in Spanish with no delay or commercials and RAI for Serie A in Italian. That was it for European leagues with no commercial breaks.
