Maitland-Niles needs to go. He would be a star for Charlton in the League Championship.

Not to be too reactionary, but there really are only 4 or 5 players people would want on the squad going forward.

We are desperate for a dribbler to hold the ball.
Our defense is trash and there is no way to fix it without tons of money.

Oh well, Chelsea will still fire their manager and hire Frank Lampard and the Russian won't spend money he is not even allowed to watch in person.
Still though Maitland-Niles sucks so bad.

This is a real kick to the nuts. As up and down as the season was I actually felt somewhat comfortable about beating a Chelsea team with absolutely nothing to play for and a locker room in total disarray.
To come out and get assfricked this bad and completely embarrass themselves is beyond disappointing. Arsenal's trajectory as a club is spiraling down rapidly the last 4-5 years and they don't look like they give enough of a frick to do anything about it while the rest of the "Top 6" blows by them.

I’ll say it now if we don’t sell Auba this summer we’ll regret it come October. For all the goals he gets, he has tons of chances. Not getting any younger.

Its a very sad outlook, because we know Stan wont fork out the funds to witness actual improvement. Especially since they didn't qualify for CL, Arsenal will be lucky to get just 1 or 2 bodies in to help out.
I guess the best thing would be to hope that signing a number of cheap players turns out to strike gold. I am at a loss to see a real positive outlook. Sure Chelsea might witness a decline because of the ban, but how long will United stay down?

We need somehow to get dribblers in this team.

I’m done. Better luck next year.

Wow, Arsenal are sucking beyond belief. Stan, if you do not want to own a team, please sell it!!!!!

Willock looks a better player than Ozil, honestly. Passes and moves, gets into good positions, drives at opponents. I'm cool with selling everyone but Torreria, Guendouzi, Holding, Iwobi and then just bleed in young players.

I completely agree. Özil is horrible!

The result sucked, but I'm used to it now as an Arsenal fan.

We aren't using him the right way. We have no one for him to interchange with, we don't play through the middle anymore, we don't make beyond the ball runs and we don't do combination play well anymore. Everything is with the ball to feet and is based around cutbacks. It's a boring way of playing.

Arsenal were hit hard with the injury bug, playing a bunch of reserves, and people out of position, as well as adapting to a brand new system.
I think if things went their way a bit more results throughout the campaign could have been different. That said, you can certainly see an overall lack of quality. There isn't a full starting XI of true quality, and absolutely nothing close for depth.
Hopefully another year of tinkering and picking up 2 or 3 players who perfectly fit the system can do wonders. Time will tell.

Sorry, I disagree. Tackling is tackling all over the field, and he simply can't do it. He is a severe liability on defense. Maybe he contributes more to the offense if he is in his position, but the swap off is not worth it. We already have all offense, no defense in Ozil ( who we can not get rid of because no one wants his lazy arse.)

I love your optimism...will Kroenke sell the team?
