i'm not sure what our best XI would be. that's probably a good thing. a lot of really good lineups could be had, and our bench will be stellar.
Despite saying I wouldn't get my hopes up, I made some moves on FIFA 14 and have been rolling with this lineup.
Scez
Debuchy-Per-Kosc-Gibbo
Ramsey-Khedira
Walcott-Ozil-Cazorla
Sanchez
Bringing Jack and Giroud in off the bench.
Needless to say, I've been wrecking shite.

i hope it's bender, not khedira, but thats a solid lineup right there. i think we'll see some rotation between giroud, sanchez and maybe theo at CF, theo and sanchez rotating at RW, and santi/ox/poldi at LW. maybe sanchez or theo over there too.
have to think this is poldi's last season with us. very good chance he gets less than 20 starts this season. interesting to see what happens with santi too.

I'm just hoping we have that problem of having too much talent on the bench too often than the alternative.
Injuries will happen. I don't want to have to start Flamini and Arteta in the middle together ever again.

One of the most reliable Barca centric Spanish sports radio networks just reported that it's done. I's are dotted and t's are crossed and it's going to be announced tonight or tomorrow.

Can someone give some details on why Barcelona would sell him? Are any of these reasons accurate?
- Not really in the rotation? (Although that seems unlikely since I heard he scored quite a bit for Barca this year)
- New player that will take his spot?
- Not happy at Barca?
- Arsenal just gave too much money to pass up?
- Didn't expect to be able to re-sign him when his contract ends soon?

hated not getting drax in jan, but we got a better player for cheaper. incredible business. love love love the purchase.

Suarez is going to start over him and they need money to fund the purchase of Suarez, especially since word is Pool wants most if not all of the money paid upfront and not in installments

Well I believe the main reason is that the new coach is coming in and wanting to rebuild the team to his liking. They really want Suarez so to help fund that buy and others they are selling a few players (ie Fabregas and Sanchez)
ETA: the sanchez buy is even more important to us because not only does it strengthen us, it prevents a rival from getting him

I think what really helps is Sanchez's reported refusal to play for Liverpool over Arsenal. That prob helps us get him for a slightly lesser price.

It's also big from a status and intent standpoint. This is two windows in a row Arsenal has gotten a world-class player to join the squad. They're proving they can compete financially with almost any team in the world

Anyone know what that's about? I'm trying to think of who he would be close with in our roster, if that has any effect.

London, Wenger, and money all worked in Arsenal's favor I believe

My only initial thought would be that AW > BR and that a Barca to Arsenal transition should be smoother than to Liverpool.
