Me personally I'd like another 6/8 profile guy with running power.

Been some rumors about Ayooub Boudaddi from Lille but not been much chatter overall

We've got a bunch of attacking mids, but Rice is the only true box to box guy we've got.

It’s just different styles. Kai Havertz had been out since last January. So it’s not like we could have played him. And I doubt he can just start every game right now. So you make it work with the other players.

On different styles, Jesus playing the ball to martinelli for the goal isn’t what gyok gives you. He wants to be on the end of that. Jesus playing that ball means he’s not the one in the box finishing.

But if Gyok is starting and Jesus is on the bench the he cant play Gyok that ball.

Martinelli now has 9 goals in all comps and then it’s Saka and Gyokeres with 7. For someone who touches the ball so little he scores just as much as our best goal scorers.

I'm just glad we've got another way to play. You need to be able to do both, and we've been pretty static recently.

Everyone is going to play a part if we win some stuff. Just need Vik to pick it up when he's not scoring

Another note, Nwaneri take a growth spurt? He looked kinda tall out there today. Guess it's possible because he's only 18

I liked his play today, lacking a bit in the finishing, but great passing & carrying today

Yeah I'm kind of tired of the shitting on Gyokeres. It is fricking annoying.

This season we are:

25-2-4 I believe (87% win percentage)

24-2-5 if you consider the penalty win vs Palace a draw

We have to stick together. We need Vik, Kai, Jesus. IMO all 3 stay fit that is a title or 2.

Havertz will be great but promise he will frick a few chances that Vik scores. Vik won't drop in as much as Kai or play intricate 1 2s. But Vik will pull defenders out of position and straight bully them. Play Vik in the Champions. Kai in the League. We will be okay.

Take inventory at seasons end after we win the treble and see if you cut your loses with Vik. Right now. All aboard choo choo. So sick of our own fans fricking hounding Vik. This being scared so much of City that it projects on the players is frustrating as frick

Same with the Odoegaard and Eze discourse. Myles Lewis Skelly.

Don’t get me started on some of the Arteta stuff.

We’re the clear number one team in Europe and the betting favorite in all four remaining competitions and you still have fans bitching. At least let the season play out

Odegaard has been pretty good since he's been healthy.

I think a lot of fans thought Eze was something that he wasn't: he's not like Odegaard and going to run the show, he's more of a moments guy. When he gets in good places to shoot he scores a lot, he's just not the guy that is going to pick up the ball from deep and dictate our attack.

MLS HAS been below par, but he's had limited game time, and I feel like he's carrying an injury or something because i don't remember him being as slow footed last year. While Cala/Hincapie are out, I hope Myles can regain some of last years form. Part of that will be allowing him to invert more (like last year) and not trying to play as a traditional LB, he's just not that guy.

I'm also intrigued to see maybe Havertz & Vik on the pitch together.

I know Arteta mentioned they were thinking of doing it early on

Interested to see the direction they go next. I don't feel like we've done a good job of platforming with loans the players that aren't superstars and destined for the first team.

Pretty easy draw for round 4, at home. Hopefully another chance to rotate folks

I actually think we should start Timber and White on Wednesday.

I thought last season they would be the starting fullbacks, but with injuries Timber stayed on the right and MLS emerged as an option at LB.

And this isn't to shite on Myles, it's just a big game and if I'm Chelsea I'm going down that side and not the side Timber is on.

And I just really like Ben White as a player. Him shoving that guy after the meg was great. We need a bit of that back in the team.

What a phenomenal draw for the 4th Round of the FA Cup with Wigan at Home. Gives those fringe players more minutes and a game we can easily win to go into the 5th Round.

We do have a lot of options now. It's just about finding the right pairings.

I know ive said this before, but I think Jesus and Martinelli should be starting together. I see Martinelli and Gyok as similar players as in they are more straight-line runners you want running into the box.

And for someone like Noni, he should start against the low block teams that have no interest in coming out against us and pressing us. That way he can attack over and over again and it won't really matter if he loses the ball because those teams aren't trying to go at us.

Something I haven’t thought about in a while and probably a good thing. The Kroenkes. Spurs, United, Chelsea, Real Madrid. We have had stability. Just need to bring it home.

Trossard and Saliba doubts for tomorrow, so that's not great.

Mosquera & Calafiori still out. Hincapie out for weeks. Assume we'd go with White-Timber-Gabriel-MLS backline?

Or hold 1 back for a sub and start Norgaard again?

I'd probably be more comfortable with white-norgaard-gabriel-timber but I don't think it really matters at this point. Start 4 and don't let Timber play the whole match to get some rest

I think Saliba & Trossard are fine, it’s Arteta playing mind games. White-Saliba-Gabriel-Timber would be my preferred back four. I wouldn’t mind Norgaard out there in place of Saliba if he’s actually out, but we need to go strong and kill this tie off in the first leg.
