Has nothing to do with Saka. Brentford started playing and we can't hang.

Our only outlet right now is going long to Gyokeres and he can't win his duels anymore

5 min of added time is criminal also.

Not the it matters, the longer we play the better they look. Everyone takes too many touches.

How does Gabby not one time that with either foot?

The response after the goal has been horrifically bad

Well he put the ball out for what resulted in the goal and hasn’t looked right all season.

Vik isn’t having a good game so I thought Jesus would keep the ball at least.

Not the worst result on Earth but this gives us no room for error in the rest of our non City fixtures.

HAVE to beat Wolves next Thursday.

Feels like whoever plays 2nd between us and CIty (Liverpool game aside) is dropping points

Tired of watching these guys piss down there leg at any bit of pressure on them.

We don't play before City a single time the rest of the season. In fact they'll have a game in hand for the next 2 months after the wolves game next week.

They're going to choke, and I'm not sure I can take that again.

Saka completely fricking invisible his entire time on the pitch. Ødegaard was good for ~20 minutes then didn’t have a single touch after brentford scored. Eze was an absolute disasters. I don’t want to hear any bullshite about him starting midfield again this season. Trossard wasn’t awful but he wasn’t good. Gyokeres had a game. I thought he was ok for his touches, but he could’ve for sure done better. I think it was too physical of a game for Jesus. Martinelli should’ve shot first touch.
frick man I’m just so pissed off. As much as I like Timber I am ready to see White start this weekend. He's so much better going forward, and I don’t fricking understand WHY Arteta feels the need to start TWO defensive fullbacks???? At brentford??? frick dude you either start Hincapie/White or Cala/Timber OR YOU CAN GO BACK TO LAST SEASON AND HAVE A WHITE/MLS FB PAIRING AND ACTUALLY PLAY TO WIN FFS

Sad day when Brentford looks the like the better team. Just a disappointing performance.

We played like the mid table team. I can't believe for the last 30 min all we did was kick it over the top to Gyokeres. Just a shambolic effort all around

In isolation it’s not a bad result.

But the two draws and a loss made these points more important and makes wolves a must win.

Getting a draw is fine, the play on the pitch is the bad part.

Go back and watch all our actions after the goal we scored. Brentford looked like the team at the top of the table, and we looked like a mid table team. Booting it long from every goal kick, not being able to win 2nd balls.

We generated .65 xG in the entire game. That is wholly unacceptable, and it's going to be the reason why we don't win anything this year.

When you continually allow the other team to hang around you afford them the opportunity to take points off you. Forest (A) was probably one of the few games we've dropped points in that we deserved to win. We didn't deserve that win yesterday. Just a shite performance all around.

ALMOST EVERY SINGLE GAME WEVE DROPPED POINTS IN WE DIDNT SCORE FROM A SET PIECE.

That is the problem, we still do not or cannot create enough from open play

Martinelli doesn’t take a touch and just shoots we probably win.

That part is frustrating. We always need to take the extra touch around the box. It’s annoying.

Definitely think Arteta got this wrong. Didn’t read the game right. Odegaard was the right call at half but once we scored I would have brought on Martinelli for the counter attack outlet and brought Jesus on to hold the ball up although Vik did better near the end of the game and made that pass to Timber. Also would have brought Norgaard on for Zubi since he disappeared.

Or you do the same, they go level, bring attacking players on sooner. Put Ben white in, etc.

But the Saka sub was wrong. Even the announcers said he had 1 goal in 17? Congrats Arteta, you overplayed him to get to this point. And here he is doing it again. Give him the minutes in the fa cup game.

Always too cautious, and it's going to be the thing that does him in.

If we don't win anything this year, I don't know how the club decide to just "run it back" next year.

I'm not Arteta out or anything, but these same problems keep cropping up year after year, and it doesn't matter if it's our guys that have been here for years or the ones that just came in. They are very obviously being coached to be risk averse and it is severely limiting our potential.

We can't even use the excuse that Brentford didn't come out and play, because they did, and beat us at our own game.

Now we've got travel to Wolves, who oh by the way limited us to 1.13 xG AT HOME and another game that we had 2 SOT.

Perfect example of being risk averse to a fault:

That would have been a nearly impossible pass to complete

But I do agree with the sentiment

Trying is half the battle, and 90% of the time, they do not even try it. Instead they'll Hold up play, allow defense to get into their shape and then horseshoe it around and wait for the defense to frick up or wait for one of our few guys that are capable of individual brilliance to do something.
