FIFA said Tuesday it had received more than 20 million ticket requests during what it calls the "random selection draw" phase.
That's great and all but how many of these credit cards will be getting declined?

The third phase of sales runs through Jan. 13, 2026, with successful applicants set be notified by email in February and charged automatically.
Charged automatically for two seats on completely opposite sides of the stadium. At this point, I kind of hope I just fail in this lottery.

This is going to go down as the shittiest World Cup ever from a fan in attendance perspective.
I haven't even bothered to do the lottery crap, and i've been waiting for this for years and couldn't wait to be able to go to a world cup game with my two sons.
I just hope there's enough backlash through all of this that ticket prices get to a reasonable point closer to the match days, and i can actually buy 4 tickets that i know are going to be next to each other.

So how do you get these $60 tickets?
Or how do you sign up for these original priced $70 ones?
This shite is so all over the place.

Dec 16 (Reuters) - FIFA introduced on Tuesday a small number of $60 "Supporter Entry Tier" tickets, aiming to make next year's World Cup more affordable for fans of qualified teams.
Football's governing body said that the discounted tickets would cover all 104 matches of the tournament, including the final.
Or how do you sign up for these original priced $70 ones?

I guess category 4 is the cheaper tickets.

How do you buy USMNT tickets?
In order to buy England away and/or tournament tickets I pay to be a member of the England Supporters Team Club which gives me access. These cheaper tickets will only be available to members of that (and then done on booking history)
1.6% of tickets at this price does not undo the betrayal to your common fan.
I suspect the best chance at tickets is waiting for countries associations to return unsold tickets and buy them later on

I just tested and I can currently get 2 IC Playoff vs Uzbekistan Category 3 tickets for cheaper than 2 category 4 for same match. $345 vs $380

I was looking at original ticket price. Not the resale.
Like how we get in to buy them at $60 or $70 vs $180.
Is that what the guy above is saying? You got to be part of a team's supporters club?

Yes, you have to be a part of the team's Participating Member Association (PMA).

Here is the round of 32 game in Atlanta. See how category 4 original price is lower.

I received this email today from US soccer.
quote:
For U.S. Soccer fans, there’s nothing like cheering on the U.S. Men’s National Team at home. As 2026 approaches, we’re working to give fans the chance to experience this historic moment in person.
At the FIFA World Cup Final Draw, the U.S. Men’s National Team was placed into Group D along with Paraguay, Australia and the winner of UEFA Playoff C—either Kosovo, Romania, Slovakia or Türkiye.
U.S. Soccer will receive a limited fan ticket allotment for each U.S. Men’s National Team match. Quantities will vary by venue, and demand is expected to significantly exceed supply.
In partnership with FIFA, U.S. Soccer will conduct two weighted ticket draws exclusively for Insiders—one for Standard Insiders, and one for Premium through Keepers tiers. These draws are designed to recognize and reward fans whose commitment enables U.S. Soccer to remain in service to the game.
In early January, eligible Insiders will receive FIFA Participating Member Association (PMA) access codes to apply for tickets. Applications will remain open until January 13, at which point Insider tiers will be locked for the draw.
quote:
Standard Insider draw: 10% of Insiders tickets allocated
1 entry per person
Receive additional entries based on membership tenure:
Member for 2–5 years (joined Insiders 2021–2023): +1 entry
Member for 5+ years (joined Insiders 2020 or earlier): +2 entries
quote:
Premium–Keeper Insider draw: 90% of Insiders tickets allocated
Entries determined by Insider tier:
Premium: 1 entry
Premium Family: 2 entries
VIP: 3 entries
Supporters Circle: 4 entries
Captains Circle: 5 entries
Keepers Circle: 6 entries
Receive additional entries based on membership tenure:
Member for 2–5 years (joined Insiders 2021–2023): +1 entry
Member for 5+ years (joined Insiders 2020 or earlier): +2 entries
And the link to join insiders.

I entered the lottery as a Brazil fan to get tickets for Brazil/Morocco at MetLife. This shite is so wild.

How? Don't you have to have an association's PMA code to enter as a specific fan of a team?
Posted on 12/20/25 at 7:03 pm to southpawcock
I don't know. It just let me choose who I was a fan of. I wasn't paying the dynamic pricing for USA tix. So I decided to with vibes and picked Brazil. We'll find out if I'm partying with Brazilian babes in February when the lottery happens.

It’s on my bucket list to watch our US team in a World Cup match. Just give it to me straight, am I going to have to sell my body or sell expendable organs to make this happen? Maybe both?

Last I saw was around $1500 a ticket. Then you’ll have to catch a flight and hotel to the west coast. Thats for a group game.
