This match should be 2-2

I'm no fan of these indoor grass fields but if you're trying to insinuate that the pitch caused that, come on.

There's also 1 billion in prize money based on success with up to 125MM additional to the winning team.

Is this Club World Cup much of a deal at all?
It means enough for these two squads to play their best players at the potential expense of significant injury that could affect their upcoming seasons
(Like what just happened to one of Bayern’s best players who will probably be out until Oktoberfest)

Musiala - looked like an ankle break

If that dude is back by October I'll be shocked

Yeah, might be more than just a broken ankle…gruesome on the replay
ETA: Also happened because the dude’s motor doesn’t stop and just used extra effort in trying to make something happen

I think it is mostly seen as a money grab by FIFA and adding more matches to these players who are already over played..
I think the clubs outside of the top 5 in Europe see it as a big opportunity to show their worth against the best, while the big European clubs.. not so much..
That said, now that we've gotten past all the horrible teams that were in the group stages, the matches have gotten better..

I’m no doc, but based on his ankle going 90 degrees, my guess is that he broke both bones. He should be in surgery before the match is over if that the case.

It’s possible to be back in that timeframe. It depends upon how the breaks happened. A similar injury happened to a family member. They slid the bones back into place…like putting two pieces of a pencil back together. No screws, just a cast.
He was playing again in that timeframe.
Still, at this level, I doubt that he will be match fit. Time will tell.

Neuer has to be one the best GKs in the world.
Except for that sequence
I take it back

Another Anthony Taylor masterclass by calling phantom fouls, and allowing yellow card tackles.

Why can var not be used to issue cards for that bs from kane
Posted on 7/5/25 at 12:47 pm to RandySavage
Well this could be an interesting finish with that sending off.

Just wrong. Both reds were correct.
ETA: I don’t know what Hernandez was doing there. Completely unnecessary and got punished for it.
