Well yeah, I'm 26 and I continually get stronger and what not every year, but the body also starts to break down and not heal as quickly once most guys get over 30.

I mean I walk around this board calling him GOATnaldo, I love the guy to death, but he hasn't exactly been a clean bill of health the last few years and that's w/out the physicality of the EPL in his life.

But CR7 gets world class treatment and nutrition to keep his performance optimal, especially with the advancements in sports medicine.

Fair enough. Maybe it's because I peaked in high school.

I think it's fair to question if the Ronaldo you're buying can sustain the level he's been at for much longer.

I mean ManU have a hole at striker, the funds, and the relationship so I would assume if he moves that's by far the most likely destination

I agree. I think he's said before that he'd like to play for Man United again

Has he done it for a full season as a 30-year-old?

He was in prime physical condition when he was in England and that body is like eight years older now.

Last time he played even remotely like he did at the end of his tenure at United was like 11-12. He won't be running around getting cut in half for embarassing people like he did at 20.

La Liga and the CL is super physically intense at the highest level, anyway. The physicality of the Premier League won't be anything special to him as long as he isn't running himself into the ground like he was pre-Zidane. He's liable to play hurt and frick himself up if he doesn't have a strong manager.

And let's face it, even though the guy is in shape he doesn't exactly go box to box. The matches I've watched of him he finishes better than anyone but he walks around 80% of the match. But he's better than everyone that 20% of the time he decides to do more than a brisk jog. He is a master at timing his runs and he's always at the right place at the right time. I think he may be able to play into his late 30's and still be effective. He reserves his energy really well.
