Hopefully this will cause soccer to red card anyone faking injury. You fall on the ground and grab your ankle and 30 seconds later you're running 21 mph...sorry, retroactive red card for a year.

You might want to let the medical community know. They seem to disagree.
You may be right that they can cause myocarditis, however it’s absurd to suggest that it caused this when there have been no deaths reported from vaccine related myocarditis.

eagerly awaiting a Lebron tweet to make this about him

He was looking for attention. He would’ve lost his shite if someone posted “could it be myocarditis from covid?” But he thought it’d be cool to try to tell us that he’s anti-vaccine.

The disconnect between Maca and Twellman on the timeliness of Eriksen’s on field treatment. No wonder Timmy was brought on.

1. Is there not currently further research going on about the vaccine causing myocarditis in young men?
2. Is Christian Eriksen a young man?
3. Can myocarditis cause issues like what we just witnessed?
The answer to all three is unequivocally yes. Is it the likely cause? No.
Is it almost as likely as anything else? Sure.

Yea I was gonna say where did they pull Tim from

Yeah no shite, those dudes are heroic. Just sprinted onto the field and saved someone’s life. Couldn’t imagine being that badass of a human. Twellman needs a timeout.

Did Eriksen have Covid? If so, maybe that's it. To my knowledge he didn't.

Just my opinion: if he’s stable and awake then I think they can play. Would’ve been much different story if he was still in critical condition

when hot takes go wrong
this is certainly a better reason to cancel someone than dropping an f-bomb on twitter 10 years ago as a 14 year old

At least we can all agree Twellman sucks and I'm so glad he got pulled after his bs.

Probably close to the same as a world class athlete collapsing and almost dying on the field during a game.
It's probably rarer, given that HCM, myocarditis, and other heart muscle related issues are incredibly common epidemiologically. Again, myocarditis can affect young parents of infants too from Coxsackie B, so much so that the association is a common enough board question for the USMLE.
Grouping viral vectors for myocarditis makes it far more likely than the vaccine, but again, it shouldn't matter, because the pathophysiological process is the same, as it is a result of regular inflammatory processes. Why the association to the vaccine is noteworthy, and not the association with known viral vectors is exceedingly odd.
The number of confirmed cases from the vaccine are exceedingly small, and even the number of suspected cases, which number less than 500 in the US, give it a rate of such small proportions I don't know why anyone would give it any thought.

Is Twellman trending on Twitter yet? I'm sure the wolves are going to come for him at some point.

As they should, they saved his life today. AEDs are amazing machines and easy to use, everyone should learn how to use one. My uncles heart stopped due to cardiac arrest about 5 years ago and was saved because some employee in Kroger knew to grab an AED immediately. I take a first aid class every year in August to keep current on basic first aid.

Obviously you are 100x smarter than me on medical issues. The reason someone would give it a thought is because it has been in the news in recent days.
I had never even heard of myocarditis before the Big 10 started trying to use it to get out of playing football last year.

Tragedy is no time for a bout of ignorant pining.
