I think I'd pay that. How early did you arrive to the game to get a spot? I guess that might sound like a dumb question if the parking lot at Reliant is enormous. I just haven't been before.

Don't remember exactly, but probably 1.5-2 hours early. (I like to watch warm-ups, etc.)

Early enough that my buddy and his wife had time to drive back to the hotel (and pay to park again) because they realized they forgot their tickets.

They got back right before the anthems.

Ah, so no doubt that we will be in the minority if/when we play Mexico.

My dad and I are leaving BTR tomorrow after work. We are going to the AO party so the baton rouge chapter will have some people there.

Any more definite plans from people taking the drive to H town?

My dad and I are going to the semis and the finals. I think we might hook up with the Houston AO chapter if we get there early enough.

We're leaving Lafayette at about 9:30. Going to go check in to the hotel and then wing it from there.

Any Houston vets have parking suggestions for a Houston newbie? I'll be leaving work from the Galleria area around 4:15. It was suggested to me to park near a metro station and take it down to the stadium. Where would be a good place to avoid a huge parking crowd?

I went to the US- Mexico friendly at Reliant in 2008. Getting there, getting in or out wasn't bad at all, if you don't mind the $20 for parking.

We parked there for the MLS all-star game against ManU and thought parking was easy enough though leaving was a mess.

Parking near a metro rail might be the way to go. We are going to coaches then to the stadium via the rail. But you would be cutting it close leaving work at 4:15.

Reliant is apparently not allowing tailgating. so all prepartying will be done at coaches for most AO Supporters.

I don't know that I will be able to make the party Tuesday night.

No tailgating? We may just get hammered at the hotel and take a cab

Same here. I know of a number of groups that were planning huge tailgates.

The Facebook page I posted in my original post has been updated with some more info and plans.

I am hoping to take the whole day off from work and maybe getting out to coaches early. I read on that page that Fox Soccer Channel is planning on being at coaches both days.

I took the metro rail for the Final Four. I parked in the Meusuem District. From there it's about a 15-20 minute ride. Add a few more minutes coming from Midtown.

I may go to Bar Munich if it's not too crazy.
