Nah, I don't buy into that. We would have scored 3+ if he had started the game. He came in right after the sending off, and Arsenal broke down.
Our team is best when Carroll and Suarez are both in the game.

Now that you mention it, I definitely agree. Just so much creativity that wasn't there. Luis makes us go. It's pointless to keep him on the bench for 60 minutes.

I really think we need to start Aqua. He brings serious amounts of creativity to the pitch.
I firmly believe Kuyt would be best coming off the bench (unless he starts over Henderson). His undying energy would frick up a tired squad.
Suarez and Carroll will flourish. They just need to keep playing together. I understand the Carroll sub because of the yellow, but would have loved to see them both together against a weakened back line.
The jury is still out on Henderson. I know he is extremely young and will be a fantastic player, but don't see why he is in the starting XI. Seems to me, Kuyt or Meireles would be better.

I think Kenny felt some pressure to start his new guys the first couple weeks. Hopefully we'll settle into an 11 that will be best suited to winning matches. We should have six points right now.
I don't like this talk of selling Aqua or Meireles. They'll both be very useful as the season wears on.

I'd like to see him get a show with the first team. But it's seeming unlikely at this point.

nobody seems to bring it up, but there has to be a reason (or reasons) why Aquilani isn't given a place in the team and doesn't really seem to be welcome there.
To us it all looks like he's creative and a huge asset for us, but there has to be some information that we're not privy to. He could be a terrible dressing room presence or something along those lines. There has to be a reason for all of this because his price tag has no value (except outgoing) to the current ownership group.
He's house money for them, so if he had value to their team, it would stand to reason that he'd be utilized.
