I will take the blame for that

Fazio at least can say he assisted the first Dzeko goal. Juan Jesus has just been awful.

Jose bringing on the youngster

He could put me on and park the bus.

But we have done no such thing tonight
The youngster gets crushed in a tackle 20 secs after coming on
Benfica player sent off for second yellow

Fazio is an exceptional passer, that pass to Dzeko is pretty normal stuff from him. He's best in Bonucci type regista role in a 3 man backline since he wins every header as well. Not great in a pressing 4-3-3, especially without Manolas beside him to clean up.
Juan Jesus plays hard and is decent but limited. What a poorer club like Roma have as depth.

Pellegrini is a Roman.

Irony is that the follow up may not be as wide open if Kante and De Rossi are back, though Manolas will still be out and that alone makes for too much excitement.
Roma missed a big chance today though to build an almost insurmountable lead over Atletico.

Each English team in the UCL is currently atop their group.

Thrilling game, though. Chelsea didn't really deserve to win based on the run of play.
Yeah, a draw was really a fair result for how the match played out.
Roma --likely not that confident of defending against continued Chelsea possession without De Rossi and Manolas-- did a pretty good job pressuring deep to keep Chelsea from getting out of their half.
At the same time, when Chelsea took advantage of Roma pushing everyone forward, they created their fair share of very dangerous counters.
I almost expect the complete opposite dynamic in two weeks if both teams have their regular defensive mids back.
Conte needs to do Roma a solid and not mail in that final home match against Atletico if Chelsea is already through.
