I kinda thought Firmino was with Sterling money, but I really hope not.
Reports are saying we won't budge and meet Benteke's release clause at 32.5 and Villa won't budge either. I think he's pretty good but not worth that price. If we don't get him in the summer, I'm worried we might just try to wait and get him in January.
Has anybody heard of any other forwards we might be looking at? Besides Lacazette and Cheryshev?

All reports I've seen is Firmino was coming all along... other than that, we bought Clyne which we all knew we had to replace Johnson...
We all know we wanted Benteke, whether we sold Sterling or not, so the big question is.. is that the Sterling money or not... I hope its the latter

More of a winger with BvB but I've started seeing Marco Reus pop up more and more on the rumor mill

I'd actually prefer Lacazzette. They're both long shots but they wouldn't cost much more than Villa is asking for benteke

With Firmino, Clyne, Gomez, and Ings we've probably spent in the ballpark of about £40m. I haven't heard anything about what our expected budget would be but I think I saw somewhere that we've averaged a net spend of ~£30m (don't quote me. That would mean we still have about £40m to spend not counting other sales that are bound to happen.
And as much as I want to believe the Reus rumors, there's no way. So I see us finishing with Benteke and maybe another young guy or squad player for more depth (LB maybe)

What was the deal with Lazar last year? He started off looking great and the got that red card and was shite thereafter. If we can get the early year version of him it would be fantastic to compliment the other attacking options we have.
