It seems like he's getting agitated he missed those opportunities to score and rushed that shot a little.

Jones looked very good that half. He made some great tackles, did very well tracking back to defend on counters. He served up some nice passes. The distribution often went through him, he knocked it around quickly. He won a bunch of aerial balls. Very solid half from him.
USA needs to stop lumping it to the corners and expect the crosses, well change it up a little and for sure capitalize. We need some link up play between the strikers and some runs behind or across their backline.

checking in since the midget commendered the interwebz earlier. god i can't believe it's still only 1-0, but the keeper (unfortuately) did well after that howler of a clearance. clint...baby...wtf dude? i personally have been genuinely happy with the play (save around the 4' mark or so) for the most part. i'm probably wrong though

Positives
Jozy, great goal, nice ball through to Wondo
Wondo's been solid I think. Nice movement, held the ball up well at times.
Jones, outside of that one really bad ball to Lichaj toward the end of the half has been quite good.
The fullbacks getting forward. I'm a broken record when it comes to needing width on the left but its true, it makes us a far better attacking team. Even on his wrong foot Lichaj has set up two scoring opportunities. If people were smart they'd play him towards the line as he does not want to use his left but its working so far.
Donovan's the big disappointment IMO. Horrible set pieces this whole tournament and just not very good overall play.
Dempsey with some uncharacteristically poor finishing.
