Looking for youth soccer coach for 9 year old to prep for competitive tryouts. Need more aggressive coaching style. Not looking for participation trophies!! Private or small group acceptable. TIA

It’s pretty weird how he went from probably the most prolific soccer board poster to ceasing to exist. I guess that’s just how life on an anonymous message board goes

I would contact one of the local clubs and ask for contact information on a coach that does private lessons.

You do realize that the tryouts for competitive soccer at BRSC at that age aren't really tryouts right? everyone makes the team. They don't even have an A team and a B team at that age, well they do for certain tournaments, but usually they split them up a good bit.
You don't have an actual tryout and an A team until they are 12.

I think this is your job at this age. Kick the ball with him, make sure he can dribble it, let him take shots on you…play every day.

That’s surprising. We have tryouts and select starting at age 7
ETA: At 9 years old your child should be wayyyyyy past the basics and starting more advanced moves and drills. The gap in talent only gets bigger and at 9 it’s already very large.

IFC has coaches and programs in Baton Rouge. I’m almost positive one of them will let you pay for private lessons
